Signs of a possibly fixed football match in Serie B tonight.

Piacenza lead 2-1 at HT yet the draw is still priced as low as 1.41 (less than 1-2) on Betfair. Normally, in this situation, the draw would be priced around 5-2.

Lots of betting patterns suggest all is not as it seems! :)

If I can explain further.

Around £4.5 million was bet on this match on Betfair. Over £4 million of that was placed on the draw throughout the day. Not many people backed either team to win.

Figures like that on a Serie B match are almost unheard of.

As blatant a fix as anyone could wish to see.

No, I was alerted to the dodginess of it early and followed it closely.

The final figures were:

£5,160,650 was matched (bet) on the game.

£4,841,537 was matched (bet) on the DRAW.

Only around £300,000 was bet on either Albinoleffe v Piacenza winning.

Vile, corrupt people like this disgust me.
 
That is rather dubious...

Edit - turns out lol one of my mates bet on this game. Apparently after it was 3-3 everybody stopped trying.

Yes, obviously quite a few people 'gambled' on the off chance it wasn't fixed. That's the chance you take.

To be honest, it was Albinoleffe 1 v Piacenza 2 at HT yet the draw was still as short as 1.41. I could see why people would take a chance laying that when the more realistic price for the draw would be around 5-2 (3.5) at HT.

I noticed this too. Sadly, lots of Italian games are like this. You'll get loads towards the end of the season, they always do it. Most bookies don't even bother with the Italian leagues towards the end of the season now, as they know what's coming.
 
It's odd you'd have thought the Italians en masse would have learned not to do this after what hit Serie A a few years back.

Boring league really. Quite annoying that they've plucked a WC and European Cup or two in recent years.

as a %age it is a negligable amount, and you are also wrong (I cannot remember a Serie A game ever being taken down) another case of the uninitiated failing to understand the mindset of Italian football.

I'm hearing news another match utterly stinks. But this time in Spain.

Betting summary - Volume: £1,525,509

So, of £1,667,356 matched on the game, £1,525,509 was on the draw. Only around £140,000 matched on a positive result either way!

There was a few million betted on a Utrecht dutch game not long ago with the team they played against (can't remember who) both scoring an awful lot in previous meetings between them and it ended 0-0.
