Alder Lake-S leaks

I always use iCUE control for my Corsair AIO's or at least install it and set my default fan/pump profiles before disabling iCUE. That way I can set the Fan and pump speeds to be based off the AIO Water temp and not the CPU Package temp like it would be if the fans were controlled from the motherboard fan headers. As Water has a high heat capacity and heats up slower it means that short term temp spikes like opening a media heavy web page in Chrome for example doesn't cause the fans to annoyingly ramp up and down all the time. Only sustained loads slowly heating up the water cause my fan profile to speed up the pump and fans and its a gradual thing not a Revving of the Fan engine kind of thing. WRT to disabling iCUE. Now that I have a shed load of Corsair iCUE Fans and RGB strips in my system as well as a Corsair AIO and also a much faster 16 Core CPU, well I won't want to nor need to disable iCUE anymore and can leave it on permanently. Perfect use case for one of my E-Cores on my 12900K! LOL

Have you had any luck getting the stand offs for your AIO yet?

China, there must be loads of these parts around the world now, there's gotta be someone prepared to post stuff.

Interestingly the AMD parts are still maintaining price, I wondered if AMD would drop prices before tomorrow to steal a little thunder.

I just hope I can get hold of some DDR5 RAM. Ordered a 12900KF + Asus Hero MB. I saw the DDR5 on here and thought it's fine I will add it in the morning, stupid mistake.

Edit: The CPU's are released on the 4th, does that mean we will receive them on the 4th or will they ship on the 4th. Anyone know?

Yeah get some decent stuff as soon as you can, seems like there will be a shortage for a little while due to demand and that'll push pricing up.

Hot take.... I have a gut feeling about one aspect of this new architecture. What if reviews show that it scales so well as RAM type/speeds increase etc. SO whilst it's still very very fast with good DDR4, it scales even more with DDR5 as time goes on. That would mean the CPU could last several years and remain in the top range of CPUs for a long time as the years go by, just scale the mobo and RAM up incrementally as DDR5 matures etc.

Those like me that want to simply get the new CPU with our current DDR4 setups would be happy for a while and haven't had to spend extra for DDR5 mobos and RAM and then again have to upgrade to matured DDR5 etc but instead slowly upgrade mobo and DDR5 in say 3-4 years time when everything is cheaper still.
