Alex Jones..

I bet you any money that AJ does not have any more that he will STILL claim to be the victim and the DEEP STATE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! manufactured all this because PATRIOTISM IS DEAD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Good news, but sadly he'll still have a very comfortable life as there are enough people, even celebrities, willing to prop him up.

Wonder when he'll be back on JRE

Apparently no one told the foxnews website about this, I just scanned down the first 100 or so stories on the App, doesn't show up. Searching for "alex jones" on the website and the most recent news article is 6 months ago.

Russell brand selecting biden over Trump is the 2nd news article I see on the fox website. Tells you everything you need to know about fox "news"

Well he's apparently bankrupt and pennyless so I'd wager that's not gona be very much... He was rich enough to pay some shady or clever accountant to hide his cash.
IIRC he tried that, the Judges didn't allow it.

I think he tried to declare himself bankrupt just before the proceedings, but it wasn't done before and from memory the various judges were monitoring his assets and know where/how he was trying to hide his assets (I seem to remember an incompetent attempt to move assets to a shell company).

As I understand it, the reason to allow him to keep Infowars is that it was his main source of income and, if he is to continue to pay the families, he still needs an income. The divide between the families is becoming a large distraction now and is a new source of legal reasons Jones can appeal - some of the families want to paid, some of the families don't care about the money and just want Infowars shutdown instead - however, that group are starting to become a legal problem as it becomes considered an attack on a business rather than the outcome of a legal case against the owner.

At this point, whilst the anger is understandable, now they have had their legal and moral "win" it's probably time to move on, which most families recognise, but a small subset won't/can't move on and the more they push away from just their victory against Jones "the person" and into "everything related to Jones" the easier it is for Jones to start a legal fight back on behalf of the company i.e even the lawyers for the various families have said -

“The standard isn’t, ‘What is the worst possible thing to do to Alex Jones to make him suffer?’ It’s what’s in the best interest of the creditors".

Infowars will be liquidated in a series of auctions. Jones is hoping he can continue the grift if his supporters purchase the company's assets.

Conspiracy theorist Alex Jones ' Infowars media platform and its assets will be sold off piece by piece in auctions this fall to help pay the more than $1 billion he owes relatives of victims of the Sandy Hook Elementary School shooting, under an order expected to be approved by a federal judge.

U.S. Bankruptcy Judge Christopher Lopez in Houston said during a court hearing Tuesday that he will approve the auctions that start in November. But he said he first must change a previous order to make it clear that the trustee overseeing Jones’ personal bankruptcy case controls all the assets of Infowars parent company Free Speech Systems, which is owned 100% by Jones.

Despite the pending loss of his company, Jones vows to continue his talk shows through other means, possibly including a new website and his personal social media accounts. He also has suggested that Infowars’ assets could be bought by his supporters, allowing him to continue hosting his show as an employee under the Infowars brand in their home city of Austin, Texas.

How does what he did equate to 1 billion dollars?
Because whilst the original thing might not have been, he did it for over a decade knowing exactly what he was doing was causing harm, both emotional and physical (a bunch of the families had to move because of his lies and his brain donor fans), and he kept it up purely to make money.

So not only was it libellous, slanderous, and causing harm to the families, but he was doing it repeatedly, knowing it was false, and for profit, which more than meets the level of it being malicious.
So if he'd only made the claims a few times and nothing much had come of it the chances are the families would 't have done much, or they'd have been awarded much less, but the fact he kept doing it and by his own court admissions knew it was nonsense it raised the limit much higher.

From memory multiple families he targeted with his money making theories had to move or even get active protection due to death threats provoked by his lies. Oddly enough the average person really doesn't like people that go after families that lost children in things like school shootings, and they like it even less when the only motive for that was to make a quick buck.

America has some remarkably free speech, and laws to protect it in general, but they butt up against some really severe civil consequences if your victims take you to court and the jury decides that you really did your best to harm the victims for profit or maliciousness.

The funny thing is, the UK has in theory far more restrictions, but our payouts for this sort of thing are also much lower - possibly in part because someone like Alex Jones would likely have been taken to court and ordered to stop much earlier.

Also in America fines are purposely punitive and take inyo account the wealth of the individual rather than being an arbitrary slap on the wrist. E.g. on the UK speeding fines are fixed, but in Switzerland speeding fines are linked to wealth and some people have been fined 1million pounds for speeding offenses, which works as much more of a deterrent. Alex Jones made a fortune selling lies and hurting families, this fine wipes out all that wealth and will hopefully make other cretins think twice.

How much for your own child's death as part of a mass-murder being portrayed as nothing more than roleplay, with your child supposedly not injured at all, all so that he could make a ton of money from the video hits.

He resulted in the families being considered, by a surprisingly large number of people that were prepared to be gullible, to be faking their abject grief.

Yes i forgot he did it from the day it happened, repeatedly made false claims and MADE LOTS OF MONEY OUT OF IT.
