Alienware announces the AW2725DF and AW3225QF (worlds first 4k 240hz and worlds first 1440p 360hz QD-OLED monitors - launches January 2024)

Alienware has the best warranty, not just because it has clear burn in warranty but also because they have a no down time replacement service where they send you a new monitor before you even send the broken one to them - there is nothing worse than doing an RMA and being without something for weeks or months

Yep. And been that way since you was in diapers too ;)

My first Dell monitor was from like 2006 I think and since then all bar 2 have been dell monitors because of this. Oh and back then you could speak to people working there on the phone and negotiate price :D

Yep, much better than Asus' approach of "no sir you broke it"

Is it an LG thing because the 27" 240hz OLED's using the LG panel don't have a burn-in warranty, specifically the ASUS and LG monitors?

ASUS will definitely be bottom of the pile with Dell/Alienware and MSI offering burn-in on the warranty with the new Samsung panels.

No sure really but Asus has alway been very dodgy with their warranties in general, not just monitors, and in my experience have always tried to pass blame.
LG burn in warranty seems to be up for debate, multiple tech sites reported that LG decided to include a 2 year burn in warranty last summer but I couldn't find any mention of it on LG's site. Some people claim its just in the US even though UK tech sites reported the change but then I was watching a video review of the LG 27" OLED by an American guy and he rang LG on during the review to ask what the situation was and the customer service rep told him LG don't cover burn in.
So I guess the answer is **** knows :p

I go on whether it's explicitly stated on their product page - burn-in warranty would be a positive and they'd absolutely promote it if they offered it i.e. it doesn't look like it's included.

Makes my decision easier I guess - will go with the better supported product.

Is that not the price the DW was on release? But after stacking those coupons worked out much cheaper?

As soon as I can get it for £700-£800 I will pick it up and sell what I have.

I could be interested in the 1440p OLED. It would be perfect for next to my bed. I adore my DWF, but I dont want to pay DWF prices for the 27 incher. It would have to be a bit less. I read the release price will be $899. I wonder what that will be in pounds sterling. I'm probably going to need to wait for a deal or some lovely coupons to justify the purchase.
