Arsenal are considered by some to be looking at making wholesale changes, with rumours of Flamini and Hleb moving on, and possibly Adebayor.
With regards to those, the only one that's really us shipping them out is Hleb, which I've heard a suprising amount of rumours about (ie. suprisingly enough to almost, possibly, make it briefly considered by Wenger during a very restless, post-cheese dream). Flamini is stalling on a new contract (he wants an absolute ****load apparently) and so it's up to him whether he wants to stay (he'd be an idiot to leave imo, he has a first-team place for life here at the moment).
Adebayor isn't going anywhere.
Wenger has dismissed the rumours of us looking at David Villa, but he put it in a typically guarded "We've not
considered him at this moment in time. If we do sign him, I never said we weren't going to, honest. You can't make me sign anything. Is this on tape?" Wenger manner. So maybe.
Personally, I think we need another striker (to replace our two talented, but constantly injured current crop), a tall, physical centre back, and (whisper it) an
actual left-footed player for the left wing (heaven forbid!). Wenger has said he's looking at two actual-now-quality players to bring in, but even then, I doubt we'll have heard of them.
owen is about to sign a new 3yr contract I believe?
There's "commitment to a club", and then there's Michael Owen's interpretation of "commitment to a club". You'd be suprised how different they are.
