Why are we after Sturridge? We've already got a front line that fluffs more chances than they score and now we're going after a player who's even worse? 
Spurs are getting Moutinho and Dembele? No value in the market for a midfielder though is there Fergie?
I agree about Dembele - but even after his performances in the Euros not sure Moutinho is worth the money his club were after (he hasnt exactly done a lot apart from the Euros)
Not really, Moutinho would be more of a natural replacement for Modric, Sigurdsson is obviously the replacement for VDV and Dembele has just been signed as a long term investment when we want to buy him next year for triple the price Spurs have just paid
Who were you expecting?
This summer was about clearing the deadwood and out of contract players and adding squad players and improving our first 11 where possible. We have done that.
RSC, Bridge, Adebayor, Johnson, Taylor and NDJ all gone.
We have added Sinclair, Wright and expect Maicon, Nastasic and Garcia today.
So we have added a pacey winger which is what we need, backup keeper, experienced and still quality RB/RWB, a backup CB with great potential and also Garcia who is an upgrade on NDJ.
Many arguements on the city forums about this. Too many people have got used to us signing huge players for massive fees and wages.

I would think its not good for Spurs, Spurs are doing well buying the likes of Carrick/Berbatov/Modric, then selling them on for a profit. Spurs will have a much harder time being long term competitive if they start spending silly money on big players who expect huge wages to go along with a huge deal. They don't have the income from the stadium/corporate/commercial that the clubs above them can come up with.
Spurs would do much better to buy someone vastly cheaper, get another striker, get another CB, get another fullback, etc, etc, than blow your whole load on one midfielder. Getting rid of quite a few people as well as potentially a couple more on loan before the end of the day. I might be forgetting some squad members but you've got next to no back up at wing, fullback, constantly problems at CB due to injuries, upfront... even more so if Defoe is sold which is looking less likely at this point.
DO'h, keep forgetting you got Dembele, not entirely sure where he'll play for you, his versatility will certainly help you out. Though again with his best performances of late coming in central mid, filling up central midfield might push Dembele somewhere else, wing maybe, 2 upfront? Play as a withdrawn striker leaving Sig for the bench?

i see where you're coming from but this would be an AVB signing, one he's wanted since he came to england. couple that with the cash from VDV going and it makes sense.
the tweet from VDV's wife was almost romantic, like he's going home (well, closer to home) for the end of his career before settling down. bye bye rafa, you were something else!

Twitter also seems to think that if Garcia deal is looking unlikely we are going to go in for M'Vila. Especially now Tottenham seemingly just focusing on Moutinho.
Only seen M'Vila on Youtube and he looks good but has some serious attitude problems?
Maybe a move away and being in a dressing room with Balo will sort him out

Never should've been signed in the first place but at least it's a Dalglish/Comolimoli mistake that only cost us £2 million.
Signed a far superior player in Sahins for the season so Adam won't be missed at all.
