Esteban Granero signs for QPR...QPR really spending some money this window...11 signings so far and they havent stopped, M'Bia is another one thats at Loftus road.

Why would he be leaving?

Signing Maicon means a definite push to 5-3-2 I think. Maicon as RWB. Micah as an outside CB?

He has serious injury problems as well so we can't just keep using Zaba.
 
Pardew saying Newcastles business is done and well "go with what we got"!

Can't say I'm surprised, Newcastle aren't a transfer deadline club, would be nice to get excited about something while watching sky sports news though...
 
Still expecting Gomes to leave Spurs, convinced there is going to be a complete out of nowhere last minute signing, someone like Falcao just to top the day off.
 
Pardew saying that his main objective of the summer was to keep the squad intact, no one coming in and hopes that no one goes out before 11pm.

That was under the old regime.

I'm gutted we didn't get Debuchy. I personally think we look a weak team now. All the other clubs around us have made major progress in the window cleaning up deadwood and getting good cover. Imagine if Ba and Cisse get injured. We've got nobody!! And still relying on Simpson at RB. He's our weakest link.

It's going to be a tough season too with all the European games as well
 
Quite happy with the Charlie Adams deal, think he can add abit of something different especially with the Geoff Cameron signing, new central midfield partnership so can't complain (providing he gets his Blackpool form back, he was bloody awful against Stoke last year).

Just a proper full back and it won't have been a bad summer. I'd like to see some of the dead wood moved on and reports Glen Whelan is going to Wolves for £3million is a good deal for both parties.

Arsenal and Spurs have gone sideways more than forwards, Chelsea improved but they did that the second they fired AVB, Utd/City/Chelsea improving doesn't really effect Newcastle. Liverpool... they've done more to drop numbers than improve. Will have to see how their squad does numbers wise, what injuries they get.
They've got basically one "striker" and another guy who can't hit a barn door, if either gets injured they have no goals. Allen sits deep and doesn't do an awful lot, Bellamy their best player last year has gone, Maxi/Kuyt have gone, Carroll gone. They've got two poor results so far, have a hugely inferior strike force, dodgy fullbacks, and are seemingly betting an entire season on a 17 year old kid. If they don't get Dempsey I can't see them overhauling Newcastle.

I reckon our league rival is Tottenham and they seem to be doing well this week with transfers.

We are wanting progress from last year, the only way to go from 5th to 4th is spending on building a good squad.

We have a great first 11 but yeh it's quite thin after that
