All Three One Plans to be cancelled from today

still on the One Plan here - I'm on rolling monthly

btw - I'm off to Spain later in year on hols - is it really right your allowance is all useable out there for no extra cost ? so unlimited data and tethering ?

seems too good to be true - do you have to be careful on which operator you connect to ?

Im still on the One Plan monthly rolling here.

Called up customer services the other day to get a sim replacement and they tried to get me onto a monthly contract with only 4gb usage. I said id prefer to stay on the one plan and they said no problem, you can remain on that.

You can't use tethering but you will have unlimited data up to a monthly cap of (i think) 25gb. Movistar is the network three have an agrement with, iirc

great thanks for reply S2KIP

I'm still in "just don't even think about taking mobile abroad" - mentality I've had for years (take the wife's PAYG instead for emergencies) - looks like I'll be taking it then :)

I average about 6-7gb a month on my One Plan - wondering if they are switching people over depending on high usage etc ? as a rolling monthly customer I thought I'd be one of the first to be moved off tbh

One of the guys I work with was on a rolling contract and he was switched over when they first started doing it to high usage customers.

Same I went to Ibiza too, I had a better connection than my home broadband :D

I'm still on the £15 unlimited minutes one plan and so far nothing. To be honest I would be happy with the plan fox got if they want to move me. Or they could drop my teathering completely, I have only used it a handful of times when my sim ran out on my ipad. I'd rather put a sim in the other device and not whup the battery on my phone.

Just got back from Tenerife the other day and used tethering most of the time from my S6, I was using my macbook and android tablets and apparently saved over £500. So you can definitely tether.

But at home I hardly use tethering, probably one of the reasons why they haven't cut me off yet.

In Benidorm early this year, and Tenerife April last year, I couldn't tether on either my laptop or tablet. I was directed to a webpage saying this service wasn't available.

It clearly states on the three website that tethering isn't officially available when abroad, so you must be using a workaround or have an error in your favour somehow.

Managed to tether last summer in California no problem, didn't even realise it wasn't supposed to be available abroad.

anyone hear any more news about moving users from one plan?

or when it will happen?

i may look into moving to EE next (or BT Mobile)

It's sad that everyone has to suffer due to those using it as a home connection, which is NOT what it was designed for. It's more intended to be used on train journeys and for when you might not have a reliable line based connection.

Three ultimately plan on moving everyone off the One Plan fairly soon. I am currently on an AYCE plan with an LG G4 and i still get 12GB /month of tethering allowance, which IMO is more than enough for most people. Personally glad to see it getting axed as it was always going to be heavily abused, not trying to suggest that everyone using it is using it for something they shouldn't. Pretty sure most people on here use it as they should.

Three can move you off a 30 day rolling contract at any time they want, they are not doing that though as that would result in a PR mess. They are slowly moving everyone off it though, those with high usage are the first to go.
