All Three One Plans to be cancelled from today

I think any of the unlimited plans have been a challenge for the providers - hence the pricing has gone up. There is obviously no difference between 1tb on a pc to 1tb on a phone - it's just easier to rack up data on a tethered plan :) My understanding of this was the three network was starting to squeak under the pressure hence the restriction. But it must have been bigger than that as they could have just put everyone out of contract on the 4gb tether limit at the same price as the deal- but they didn't

I called them.
my all you can eat contract is fine!
I use around 90gb on my phone and 8gb via pc. My pc limit is 8gb :(

I do pay £46 per month tho -.-

Tell me that includes an iPhone or something!

If it's a phone contract they won't be able to change that (beyond inflation or whatever the limit is) until the contract is finishing. I suppose if it's an annual contract and you're still within the first year then that will protect you too, but since they apparently stopped offering the sim-only deal in 2014 I suppose all of those contracts are merely rolling anyway.

Edit: I moved down to 4GB usage with unlimited minutes and texts when I asked to leave. Down from £15pm to £12. I barely used my data anyway - no more than 3GB per month I guess.

I've still got my "one plan 12 month". Paying £15 for 5k calls/texts/unlimited+tethering.

I don't use it much tho, I Stream music in the car and watch some youtube videos. I only want the unlimited / tethering for the odd time I need it, it's handy and I don't have to worry about limits etc.

I won't buy contract deals anymore. I've just brought the Z5 Premium for £400 on the interwebs. its like £600 in shops plus the stitch up contract deals. Money down the drain.

Our usage is exactly the same. I want to try EE because of Three's poor coverage, but unless you pay through the arse to EE direct, none of the other MVNOs have 4G (Asda) or don't allow tethering (BT). Extremely frustrating.

Been on the one plan for about 3 years, had 3 to 3 Minutes 4,988~, Texts 5,000~ , Voice minutes 2,000 , All-you-can-eat data including tethering , all for £18 per month on a 1 month rolling contract. now they wanted me to go on the £30 tariff which as unlimited texts / minutes / data / 12GB tethering but i said no.

they offered a special deal for £18, unlimited texts, minutes / but only as 8GB of data including tethering on a 1 month rolling contract

so i went for the £25 tariff, which as unlimited texts, data / 12GB tethering / 3 to 3 Minutes 2,000 / 600 minutes on a 12 month contract, tbh it's still awful

I was another one caught out by the letter.

I got offered 8GB data, with ultd everything else for £16 1mnth rolling.

I checked my data and minutes usage and I average 13GB a month and 900mins.

So I am having to fork out for the £30 new "one plan". I got £10 good will though so it's £29 a month for 10 months.

:)

How is it even possible to use 90GB of data per month on a phone? That's 3GB of data every single day! All I can think of is that you're streaming several hours of video a day... Can't understand why it's not easier just to download it whilst on Wi-Fi.

I think lots of people using loads of mobile data could use a lot less if they just adjusted their usage patterns to make better use of WiFi.

I still have not received the letter. What happens if it goes to my old address?

I will be jumping ship to another provider shortly, how they can justify this is crazy.

Someone prob got a massive pay rise for coming up with the idea of getting rid of that plan. Hopefully enough people leave three to make them open their eyes.

Most streaming services you can't download.

Except the Biggest one is Netflix which is no downloading,
Now TV no downloading.
BBC iplayer lol. And skygo is only if you have sky.
