I've think I've finished collecting for the PS2 now.... [collection link]
The game I've spent the most time on is Disgaea: Hour of Darkness, I still need to finish it, been stuck on the same level for about 10 years now. lol
But my favorite game is Marvel vs. Capcom 2
I got rid of Ico and Soc on the ps2 and got the hd remix on the ps3.

Metal Gear Solid 2 - great game, good story, didn't mind not playing as Snake
Final Fantasy 10 - not as good as nine but nice combat system
GTA: Vice City - All the great things about GTA 3 in the 80s
Hitman 2 - Loved the way you could do the missions in differently. Almost a puzzle game.
Spider-man 2 - Best Spider-man game to date
Shadow of the Colossus - pure gameplay, excellent game
MvC 2 - improved on the original, better than any SF release on the console
The later stages of the PS2 I got my first PC and missed some real gems I think

Time splitters 2 and 3 are bloody great to play split-screen with girlfriend.

Gran Turismo 4 was my addiction when I was younger. Hundreds of hours went into that game. I remember money farming by doing the same event over and over again to win a valuable car and then sell it, and eventually I owned every car in the game, in some cases twice or three times over. 
I think my favourite car in that game was probably... Oooh... The Audi RS6 Avant I expect.

GT4 felt dry to me. I don't know why it felt like that to me.
