they're pretty good for me. the guy who delivers is also a legend
always have a good bit of banter with him

Why didn't you get it delivered to your place of work then?
This is your fault, not DPD's.Well first off my housemate was not in the house cos she had 'plans' already. so even to sit in the house for an hour was not something she could do.
The driver ran out of time. Unfortunately this does happen. This is why most couriers state they are 96 or 97% delivered on time, because they know things like this will happen. So, I thought ok they will re-deliver on friday. They didn't even attempt said delivery because I looked on their site to keep track and it basically said:
Unable to deliver. Allocated time not enough. Or something along those lines.
They've tried to do you a favour by getting the Saturday driver to deliver any failed midweek jobsI was not impressed. So I decided to ring the number this morning. Me and my housemate had popped out for me to pick up other stuff from the Post Office and do a bit food shopping. When we got back I was still trying to speak to someone on the phone when my housemate found a second calling card. They had been to re-deliver this morning at 9.35am! Of course I didn't know this as I didn't check the website for tracking as I thought maybe Monday will be the next working day...not saturday as most couriers dont class Saturday as a working day.
You chose to pay for upgraded delivery, nobody forced you to. What I'd have done is telephoned DPD, explained what had happened (calmly, without screaming or crying) and asked if they would mind upgrading the delivery for Monday AM or similar. So I have been on the website and re-arranged for an upgrade delivery for Monday morning. Which I had to pay for but never mind.

I can understand you are annoyed that the driver ran out of time on Friday but these things happen, and he will not have prioritised your drop because you weren't in the previous day (leading him to think it was quite possible you would also not be in on Friday)
was picking it up from your local depot not an option after you missed the first delivery? I missed delivery from them a month or so back, i got on the phone to their customer service the same day I missed the parcel and they let me pick a time slot that night to go pick it up (picked 7:30pm)
They have been great all round for me, the only minor gripe is trying to find a phone number with an actual person on the end instead of an automated service. Couldn't see one on their webby but found it on google along with my local DPD depot's address
Why wouldn't you? Spie is pretty fair about these kind of things aslong as you don't go to far.If I am not allowed then please close thread.
Thank you
So lets get this straight:
- It's DPD's fault you've just started a new job and don't want anything delivered there
- It's DPD's fault that you don't want to carry a box on public transport
- It's DPD's fault you weren't in when they came to deliver
- It's DPD's fault that you don't want to go to the depot to pick up the parcel
Did I miss anything?![]()

Generally, it's not the company that is the problem, it's the drives you get on your runs.
It isn't their fault at all.
You should have arranged for someone to be in at the time of delivery or picked a different day. If your house mate made a promise, and broke it, then be mad at them. It still has nothing to do with DPD.
But I guess you're right, it is my housemate I should really be having a go at.

I am already mad at my housemate and she knows this. But with DPD, it wasn't the first failed delivery I am mad with about, just not being able to deliver on friday and attempting to deliver today. Which I am glad they did attempt it, just didn't expect it that's all. But I guess you're right, it is my housemate I should really be having a go at.
