Am I the only one?

I don't like it :(

My iphone 4 is probably going to have to keep going for a while now

TBH, with all the graphical effects going on, I wonder how well it will run on a 4, especially as this is the lowest hardware level it'll support. I'm even questioning how smoothly it'll work on a 4S, considering that will be two generations old when iOS7 is released.

It seems that a lot of the graphical elements are disabled on the iPhone 4, so it should be okay.

Interesting - is that documented somewhere or personal experience? Be interested to see what exactly has been disabled on the 4 and 4S.

A few people have mentioned it on MacRumors, I'm reading all of the threads there at the moment.

I'm running it on my iPhone 5 at the moment and it's seriously good.

Any issues? I've got a dev account and have it downloaded already just not to sure if i wanna lose any app functionality on my phone....

Did you restore clean or update?

I restored and no issues yet, all apps seem to work fine (though I know there are some that don't)!

I'll wipe it tonight though.

I'm also running it on my iPhone 5 with no issues i have encountered so far
When i ran iOS 6 beta's last year i had a lot of issues with crashing apps but not so far on iOS7

If you want me to test anything specific then let me know

Whatsapp does work

It appears that eBay does not
It freezes and eventually crashed on the opening page with the ebay logo so is currently unusable

Had a look and you're right about the 4 but can't see much info about the 4S. I'd be very interested to know whether all the fancy interface effects work on the 4S if anyone has upgraded theirs. If not then it might be time to upgrade to a 5S :)

I think the 4S is okay, aside from AirDrop.

Yeah not too worried about Airdrop tbh but would like the interface effects. Don't really want to upgrade my 4S though as I prefer it to the 5. I think the design is nicer and I have no use for a larger screen nor want a larger phone really but that's just me. If I have to upgrade to get most of the benefit of iOS 7 though then I probably will.

Runs pretty well on the 4S bar the odd slowdown here and there. I really like it. Its like my old iPhone but with some new features I have really wanted for a while and a nice new look. I think once we are a few micro releases in it will be really nice and cohesive throughout.

I think it can be reasonably expected there will be performance upgrades as the betas move on. I'd be happy to run it on my 4S but once September comes it'll be 2 years and 2 generations old, so I'll probably get the 5S/6 when it comes out.

You really think we reached the peak when they released the iPhone? That's just your lack of imagination speaking.

Where did I say when they released the iPhone?

I said phones in general. End of the day we have reached a point where the functionality can barely increase. Its a phone/camera/computer that provides a few other bits and pieces. Its going to take something truly outrageous to make anyone go "wow" now, like a built in projector or IR keyboard as per all these concepts that fly around.

Not to mention that we have reached a natural equilibrium in the UI design. We have settled on the icon grid (in all mobile oses) at it is the most efficient/effective way to display and interact with this data in much the same way with the Start menu in Windows.

It's a bit slow and clunky of my iPhone 4S. Apps like Twitter and Facebook are definitely taking longer to open. I've had one reboot as well when opening a particularly demanding app.

Interesting to take a look around. Not sure if I'll keep it or go back to iOS 6.

Prior to the iPhone a peak was reached... It takes something massive to cause a dramatic shift in technology now which then progresses slowly until the next shift/jump. As I've said elsewhere, you can't reinvent the wheel year on year, but there are cycles where something new changes everything and then the next few years aim to polish and build on it.
Or more precisely the technology had just reached the point where it could all work together. Apple jumped in at that point and "won". The initial was no better than the other smartphones on the market at that time.

Same with the iPad, prior to it's announcement there were a dozen announced the week before at CES. Technology had finally aligned (screen, batter, processors) to allow devices like that to flourish.

Apple had an influence certainly but it was the hardware companies that allowed them, and all the other consumer hardware companies, to provide that jump.
