I'm using the 30 day trial, just binged the Lord of Rings TV show...

I thought you know what, I'm going to watch Hobbit and Lord of the Rings extended...

RENT OR BUY AS A PRIME MEMBER!

MORE MONEY PLEASE!

Urrr

Lord of the Rings was made by New Line cinema.

Newline cinema are owned by Warner Brothers pictures.

Warner Brothers have their own streaming service called 'Max', hence why you wouldn't get those for free on Amazon.

I've canceling Prime. The changes to the base music package (limited skips in playlist etc.), not fit for my use. Paying them £10 extra a month isn't either. Also, Prime video sucks, nothing for me on there. Not making enough use of the delivery either, £100 a year or whatever it was goes a long way buying elsewhere

Sigh, no doubt we'll be getting this soon if you don't pay the uplift for ad free

Personally just mean I'll watch even less - 6 minutes per hour is crazy and won't manipulate me personally into paying - I don't even care about paying a couple of extra quid or so but I won't reward Amazon's tactics and the way they introduced the change purely caring about their bottom line, no sweeteners, no incentives and no care as to the impact on customers.

I've stopped watching Prime stuff on the TV since they rolled ads out, I'll watch it on the PC if I need to as at least ad blockers work on the web version for now.

“Our commitment is to improving ad experiences rather than simply increasing the number of ads shown,” said an Amazon Ads spokesperson.

That's some interesting corporate gaslighting. Give it another 5 years or so and they'll be approaching ~20 mins per hour then?

My commitment is to keeping Prime cancelled unless there’s something I’m absolutely desperate to watch. And even then I’ll rinse the service for a month, then cancel.

We just don't watch Prime shows any more. My wife got prime for the free delivery anyway so the streaming was always just an extra.
