Amazon prime sale tomorrow - Moderator edit, no competitor discussion please

Just a thought, is this whole thread against forum 'competitor' rules? or are we safe at least until one of the mods rises from the swamp?

I think the last few posts, mine included are sailing a bit close to the wind.
Amazon references are generally tolerated as long as they are not computer equipment.

Okay, this is how it works people....

1 - The price on the page before the deal starts has to be IGNORED !!!
2 - The percentage of sale that you are getting has to be IGNORED !!!

Why?

Because they can adjust the price (raise) in order to inflate the sale percentage.

How do you get around this?

Install camelcamelcamel plugin !!!!

Now you see the history of the product and how much it has been.

And how do you make sure you get the best deal ??

Steps

1 - identify product
2 - when counter reaches zero, click CLAIM
3 - now, go to page, check camelcamelcamel to see if you actually have a bargain.
4 - check google and see if it is actually cheaper elsewhere.
5 - do it under the 15mins

win win.

If keep on explaining this, you might get to 50k posts before the end of the thread

I wanted another chromecast, but didn't want to pay more than the £19 i originally paid.

So i've just buought a Fire Stick thing. Also been reading about sideloading apps, so it could be more ideal than a chromecast for my needs!

So that Samsung pro went for the same price on prime day as it was listed at last night.

Anyone wanna explain to me how Amazon lightning deals work again? Yeah...

The price I posted (one of the deleted posts above) is the same price as the 'deal' that went live at 6:10am.

Anyway, turns out the price was pretty good afterall since it was the Pro version, not the EVO. Still overkill for me.
