**AMD 5700 X3D Owners CLub**

I've had mine for a couple of months and am very happy with it. Will keep my AM4 system going for a while yet.
Imported mine as others have with no import duty.
My fairly low end MSI B550 board had "Kombo Strike" PBO2 options in the BIOS, which has helped with tuning.

Went on an accelerated upgrade path over the last 4/5 months from an i5-6600K to a 3700X to a 5700X3D. So far extremely happy with it, gaming is super smooth and general windows has been a lot snappier.

Wish had done some benching pre- and post- upgrades though to quantify the improvements for funsies. But having built the i5-6600k system in 2016 and locked in my OC pretty early on, I didn't think to do any benching :(

Same here, imported cheap, runs sweet. I have to say I noticed no difference in the headline FPS with my RTX3080 10GB at 1440p, but its definitely smoother, the drops into low double digit FPS I got with the 5600x have been all but irradicated. The interesting thing is the 5700x3d is hardly breaking a sweat either, this will definely see me through another GPU upgrade, I tend to buy a generation behind and 2nd hand these days, not paying £600+ for a GPU.

Is there much anyone has done to tweak their 5700X3d? with mine I just plonked it in left everything stock and set the memory to XMP and left it at that. I ran a few cycles of Prime95 and noticed a drop of 2-3 oC in my CPU temps, assume its because the thermal paste bed in?

I think the memory isn't 100% compatible with the mobo as I get random issues in windows and the Corsair website doesn't list it as being tested/approved for Ryzen. So I bought a Kingston Fury Renegade 32 gb RGB kit that has been tested for compatibility with my board

Guys please stop waxing on about your fancy-schmancy X3D chips, its very inconsiderate and rude to people like me who don't have one but do have an AM4 platform, do you have any idea how dangerous your inconsiderate musings are to a tight git like me?

So there have been 5800X3d "lords" coming in here to jeer at the 5700X3d Peasants. Does this mean the 5700X3D would look down on the non-X3D plebs?

(in case its not clear I'm just joking, please don't hate me... :()

I’m in a similar boat to you. 5800x but can’t quite see the point going to a 5700x3d and have no appetite for a 5800x3d

If I hadn't been on a 3700X prior I think I would have gone for a 7800X3D or something. Games definitely feel smoother than the 3700X but I can't say I felt a huge difference. But then at the moment most of the games I'm playing were a bit old anyway. I'd been playing more on the PS5 as my PC has started to fall over a lot and just generally was very out of date untill upgrade-a-thon 2024 took hold.

Right, i have the same chip, i don't see the point really but reading peoples experience with switching to an X3D from a none X3D Ryzen 5000 IS making me revaluate that.
i know it will help quite a bit in Star Citizen and it would be cheap to do, i also don't fancy the cost of upgrading the whole platform for a while yet if i can help it.
I think it would have to be a 5800X3D, you can find them on the used market given they are no longer available new, i'm ok with a used CPU, not snobby about that.... and again if its a cheap upgrade.......nnnaaarrrr maybe.

such is the order of things +adjusts monocle+

In unrelated news: Did you know that the non-x3d owners have been stealing the hard-earned haribo from the 5700x3d owners? You should definitely direct any anger in their general direction from now on.

I swapped out my 5600X for the 5700X3D and have been totally happy with it, as said before games seem to run a lot smoother, I got decent cash for the 5600X which helped.

My word! The utter shameless depravity! May the High Priestess Lisa Su have mercy on their heathen souls...
