**AMD 5700 X3D Owners CLub**

In the HUB video the 5700X3D is approx 15% faster in games than the 5700X, 1080p & game dependant of course.
You're looking at roughly a £70 cost to upgrade if you sell your old chip, so is it worth it to you? \shrug-emoji

I'm torn whether to upgrade to the 5700x3d. Currently on an x570 with 5700x boosting to 4850 with a 7900XT and 1440p (MSI 271QPX). If I have this correct, for the majority of games the performance will be the same or better, I just don't know if its worth the jump. Or wait and go AM5 later. To be fair my current gaming experience is pretty solid so may stay where I am.
The 5700x3d will be limited to 4.1Ghz max.

Whilst the x3d technology is really good at lifting the gaming performance up, it won't outcompete a 750Mhz difference. There may be some extreme edge cases where something like 1% lows are better on some really random game, but I'd recommend sticking with the 5700x you have.

Thanks. I will stay where I am until I really need to upgrade.

Hi
I' am expecting 5700x3d soon but i was wondering should i use my old Noctua nh-d15s that i bought back in i7 7700k era for cooling or should i get for example Deepcool Assasin VI ?

I like the design of deepcool assasin VI vs Noctua but I'm not sure about performance vs noctua nh-d15s. For noctua i would also require to order am4 mounting set.

I would also use my old ddr4 ram hyperx predator at 3000mhz XMP profile and i was wondering would i gimp performance severely of 5700x3d if i don't use for example 3200mhz or 3600mhz ddr4?

Any advice is appreciated.

The Noctua will be fine, or buy a new HSF but they don't run hot, especially if you use CO, -30 all cores is common.
