AMD 6000+ or Intel E6600

right im thinking off getting a 6000 (already on am2) wil my board asus m2n-mx be okay with it . can i just pop it in and away i go or do i have to update bios or anything .says it supports all dualcores and fx range but that was before 6000 came out ??

A recent review of equivalently priced AMD AM2 vs C2D at stock with identical RAM and graphics card, the AMD was faster in the majority of games, many times by 50%.

Yes, it can, but an AMD won't get as high as the C2D

yeah, and even if it did....for example overclock to 3.4ghz.....the Core 2 duo at 3.0 would outperform it.

I dont know why anyone should upgrade from am2 to 775 at, isnt a 6000+ fast enough? Suley it is, unelss you are a video editor that needs a quadcore now, why go for core 2 duo?

If someone wants a new board, then sure core2duo all the way, but why would someone change socket while it has plenty of upgrade options on his own still?
