Yeah, but thats irrelevant as the article was comparing two equally priced cpu's.

I disagree, among my friends (and most of them build their own pc) I am the only one that overclocks; I told them so many times about it but they don't care and replay with shorten the life of the cpu, instability etc etc.

So they look at the price of the cpu and performance at stock clocks

BTW most of them have AMD in desktops and intel in laptops ;)

This is what i have found amongst my mates etc. None of them Overclock. All they are concerned with is how the PC runs at stock.

So, to sum up, the AMD 6000 is the one to choose if running the CPU at stock? Yes?

Wow, thats interesting.

It completely destroys the E6300 in some games. :D

Yeah, the Serious Sam 2 results are pretty shocking - although that said, Croteam's engines have always seemed to favour AMD quite strongly for some reason.

It's well worth looking into overclocking. C2d's are great, cause you can buy a £150 cpu and have it perform better than a £600 cpu ;) The AMD's have a fair bit of give in them too :)

So long as you're cautious, and it doesn't belong to your Dad, it's all good :D
