AMD 6800 & 6800 XT MBA LAUNCH AT 2PM TODAY - EXTREMELY LIMITED STOCK!

Its never been so hard to spend money ffs :) 2020 has been a write off for many reasons but 2 paper launches and lack of transparency on stock (they knew demand would have been ridiculously high) coupled with nightmare shopping experiences all round, I'm ready to just pause and wait for the hype to settle now. Having wasted time at the 3080, 5900x and now 6800xt launches I've finally learned my lesson.
 
Approx 14:28 - I got all the way through to payment for a 6800 xt, credit card details in - hit pay and waiting and then got the crash page and no payment taken - arghhh
 
Keep seeing the news that country In recession and people all jobless due to pandemic..... Yet Can still spend on GPUs???
News is lying, everyone is RICH in this country!!!

Yep, from a customer perspective this has been a **** show from top-to-bottom, surely somebody somehow in the halls of power has got to be thinking “you know this just isn’t good enough”

In a queue for a 5900x, a 3080 and no doubt will be in a queue for the Dark Hero as well. Managed to get a 3080 though, just a case of F5ing everywhere and getting lucky. Informer bots help. (not scalping bots ofc)
 
Got an order confirmation at 14:34, an order cancellation @ 17:52 - annoyed. Juggling the idea of cancelling my 5950X order now (higher double digits queue wise).

To be fair OcUK must be kicking AMD for not giving them 3000 card, nice bit of extra profit there. I did try some other retailers but there sites just didn’t want to do a damn thing!
 
Probably under NDA but id like to know an idea on prices for the AIB cards. Will the cheapest AIB cards be around the OCUK Prices or will they be £700 - £900?

No but the online shopping market has increased a lot since then, as has the PC gaming market. Also, lockdown has meant a lot more people stuck at home, in many cases, with a lot of spare cash (no boozy weekends, no holidays & less car travel) Plus, for once, these cards aren't pushing £1000.

It all adds up to one crazy launch after another.
 
I was trying to get a card while working spent 15 minutes trying to find a link to the products then my boss walked in so had to stop and any chance gone :rolleyes:​
