I've just received an email saying that overclockers could not avoid overselling.............

I messaged a few scalpers on ebay telling them of my disgust for one of them even mentioned on here that their "order will be canceled" to message me back saying his order is shipped.

Someone else who ordered before on here also said the same and are waiting for their email.

Are OC just picking mates to send cards to? Clearly not doing it in any kind of an order.

I thought the cheapest models on OCUK were the 6800s at ~£600?

Knowing the demand why on earth did they post a link on twitter.

I rarely come on this site as I always thought over clockers was overpriced, but after this I will never buy anything from this website. That is not an idle threat or meant to be acknowledge, but as an enthusiast this leaves a sour taste in the mouth and prefer not to deal with this level of incompetence.

Hope you all manage to avoid being burnt by these amatures.

I was trying to get a card while working spent 15 minutes trying to find a link to the products then my boss walked in so had to stop and any chance gone ​

I was the same! Refresh, refresh, refresh 2:02 boss pulls up. But he left 5 mins later, I was still trying, never had a buy option come up, then I refreshed the forum about half past to see and noticed people had managed to get some. Even at 2:45 I still had no option to buy and just gave up. I've got the Series X, so that'll keep me going till next year.

The 14:37 email was for the 6800, not the 6800 XT

Its never been so hard to spend money ffs 2020 has been a write off for many reasons but 2 paper launches and lack of transparency on stock (they knew demand would have been ridiculously high) coupled with nightmare shopping experiences all round, I'm ready to just pause and wait for the hype to settle now. Having wasted time at the 3080, 5900x and now 6800xt launches I've finally learned my lesson.

Spare a thought for those of us trying to put together a completely new build

CPU? Nope.
GPU? Nope.
PSU? Nope.
RAM? Nope.

OK. I'll just build a machine that doesn't use any of those

Or I'll wait till 2H 2021
