AMD 7990

I have come across the write protected usb before, not sure why it happened but i had to use diskpart to recreate the partition the instructions are in the results petey posted

I don't know which link you clicked, but they're all pretty much step by step instructions.

All you have to do is read and follow. If it doesn't work, try another method.

Dropped to 1.4v? They're only 1.2v to start with :D
 
what's a good OC via MSI Afterburner for the 7990, i think the voltage has to be undervolted ?

i fancy fooling around with MSI Afterburner, does it still clash with AMD Catalyst like it did with the 7970
 
It has been known to clash however I have not used AB for a while. When I had my 7990 AB would not apply the voltages properly and you would have to hack which has probably fixed by now.
 
Yep undervolt and run at stock on air. You'll need water if you want to do any serious overclocking on a 7990.
 
I was amazed to see under full load and a mild overclock on the 7990 I was pulling at mac just over 400w from the wall. Pretty good for a dual GPU card.
