I did hear that Plex can run on anything but as I had no spare hardware etc to use I stuck it on my main gaming PC to test it.Very nice, I'm using an old xeon 1243 or something as a plex server with a gtx 470 lol

its doing quite well and its being used a fair bit and as I was due an upgrade I thought ill just need a PSU and case for it so that's where its going.
Funny enough I pre ordered a case as well as the processor (different orders but placed at the same time) and there is a possibility that the CPU is going to be here before the case which I thought would not happen!
Same, pre-ordered a case and from doing some sleuthing, it seems like the estimated restock date (elsewhere) is early January, and I wouldn't really expect any stock at OCUK before that either (since it's the holiday period). Also if any stock did arrive they may need to clear a backlog.
I ordered my stuff together so maybe I should think about another case if it's going to take much longer than say mid January.
I think my CPU "should" have been one of these ones arriving before Christmas otherwise, but I am still waiting on a new GPU anyway so I'm not in a huge rush.

Nah no news but I'm hoping that a couple hundred orders takes a moment to fill over a few days but that could be some hardcore cope on my part.
I work in a psychiatric hospital and I have a set contract of days I work every week so I'll be in on Christmas day even though it's also my birthday, at least working nights I get the majority of the day off anyway. In a way I'm glad nothing has shipped today as I have to travel tomorrow.
Feel free to divert your order this way though if you want, I'll send you one back sometime in the next three months!

I ordered my shopping list on the 28/11/24 and picked it all up today including AMD 9800X3D.
That sucks about having to work on Christmas\Birthday.
Hopefully you will hear something soon and your within the 150/200 orders.
Nice, enjoy the new processor. I would have gone to collect mine but OCUK are 3 hour drive (6 hour round trip) so will be waiting for it to be delivered tomorrow or Monday as the free next day delivery is only for weekdays and you normally have to pay extra for weekend deliveries.
I just cancelled (well requested to cancel it) my case order that I pre ordered.
I was expecting this to be here already but now the 9800X3D is in the way and I still had no case I've changed it and got it elsewhere

I placed my order on 28.11.24 5pm and have had no Email for an order . Guess I’m unlucky or a mixup
How did you pay? I used debit card as this is the quickest way of making a payment as using Paypal or Amazon can delay it quite a bit

I pre-ordered the Antec Flux Pro (in black).
From some other website that I'm not allowed to mention, they expect stock January 3rd (according to the listing), OCUK may not receive stock by then, and they may have orders to fulfill before mine so I wouldn't be surprised if mine was available later than that.
I'm in no way blaming OCUK though, as I recognise there are a lot of moving parts in the supply chain, and I haven't directly inquired about it to customer service - they may not know anymore than I do, but some more transparency without prompting for it would be nice.
This would ultimately rely on the manufacturer to provide that information. Also whether that information is accurate is another thing.
If it exists, maybe trying to switch to a similar case that would come with a PCIE5 x16 extension to mount the GPU vertically would be a good idea...
Also mine was by credit card.
I think we are in the same boat here. Mine was ordered 28.11.2024 10:40:12 and I have had no email.
. I ordered a couple of things though.I wonder if two items or more items are ordered do OC put the items aside if one item is awaiting stock, or do you have to get lucky and wait for it all to be in stock to be in at the same time to progress in a queue?
I posted mine in hope that it would help others know roughly when theirs would arrive but it just seems to have confused everything lol

I ordered the parts for a complete build, less the graphics card to buy a 5000 series when they launch, order date 29/11. My understanding after speaking to customer services on Wednesday is items are allocated as they come into stock so my order has everything allocated now apart from the 9800x3d. I haven't had any confirmation yet of delivery.
