yah i couldn't find anywhere in stock so I was like I'd rather wait for OcUK since its like the only company that actually connects with its customers and has good customer service.

Just really annoyed that i didn't order at 5 mins before 14:00. It's my fault for believing that random guy that wrote OcUK might have a delay, even though he's right but in my mind I thought maybe other places will have stock ready

I didn't accused anyone of lying. At least didn't mean to . I just mean that situation like this cause to create a conspiracy theories etc.

If I knew they will have that problem I will order it somewhere else. But unfortunately now is to late as everyone sold out. That's why I am going to repeat shops should not sale if not physically got in stock. Pre order should be before release to inform sellers how many items of product they need for the day of release and AMD should deliver that amount for that day etc if they can't shop should stop pre orders. that's why I understand is the whole system wrong. That's how I remember pre order in the old times . Never had an issues then.

Don't need to repeat is not medication etc. I know that and I will live even if I don't get it , still got right to say my opinion about it.

At least with a pre order you can sit back in the safe knowledge that your CPU will arrive at some point, the alternative is signing up to stock alerts and being glued to your phone and hoping it doesn't ping when your driving or in the shower or seeing to the mrs etc.

Yep. This is what happened with me and 3080 fe. So so stressful for weeks. Didn't want to go through that again.
Also like others I refused to pay above msrp. OCUK is the only ones that stuck to the price.

Yeah oc has received some flack over years but from what I can tell they are the only major reseller selling at msrp, other than the likes of more non specialist online retailers like the white big goods retailers. One even has the cheek to be advertising it with 6% off, which still bring sit down to £30 more than msrp! I won't he happy till it's in my hands but gotta give credit where it's due.

I ordered mine at 1.45 on November 7th meaning I should get it this week. I dont believe this update statement for 1 second and i bet it will be a 2025 arrival. If i dont get it by Dec 5th I will cancel and and get a refund

UPDATE

Hi there

We are expecting a batch of 108 units tomorrow, this should cover all those who ordered around 2pm, don't call for queue positions as CS can no longer provide that info.
A further batch of 78 units is due Wednesday.

We are then hopeful another batch of 300-400 units will be us by end of this week. This will conclude our first wave of stock.

Our second wave of stock is expected end of next week but we are still seeking confirmation.

Seriously though, Gibbo literally said yesterday that those of us that ordered it around 2pm will have it shipped today.

That isn't exactly true, strictly speaking. I never saw my Gigabyte 3080 Eagle OC which I had on pre-order from very early on launch day :D. Pre-orders are generally fine though as long as Nvidia haven't decided to take the **** :P.

I do not think you understand business, now this is the first post i jhave seen were you have moaned that OCUk have already gotr your money BUT what do you expect? They are at the end of the day business, imagine they dont take the money up front for a cpu and then they receive 500 of the product, now imagine 1% (5 orders) suddenly do not have enough money in their banks to cover the transactions. There could be charges from customers banks to customers for going in the red, processing delays that cost OCUK time and money. You may say that would never happen to you as you would put the money to one side and not spend it, guess what though things happen, maybe you have an emergency and have to dip into it thinking you have time to put the money back, maybe one of your direct debits comes out your bank early for some bizzare reason, maybe you subscribe to a service yearly and forget the money is cominbg out of your credit card and leaves you short.

Now you say if you had known you would have gone elsewhere, where would that be, a couple places had very limited stock (like 5 or 6) all charging more that what you would have made in interest if you had not given OCUK your money. At the end of the day you are waiting a week to get your new TOY, send me your bank detauls and i will pay you your interest you lost from that week if i can even send such a low transaction and if youc cant afford to be with out thr mmoney while you wait for the product to be in stock maybe you should not of purchased it yet. Anyone who follows the forums or tech news could easily see this was going to be a massive launch. The choices you had were obvious. Part with the money now and wait a few days for your pre order, wait to buy till readilly available or wait a few months and pick it up cheaper

I have done a quick search and all of the obvious competitors all take payment in full at the time of purchase with the exception of teh rainforest who do not have it even listed. So no matter what you done unless you got real lucky and paid extra you would have been with out teh money in your bank and probably of been waiting longer then you will at OCUK

There are so many real problems going on in the world and your issue is just such a piddly little problem by comparison. Get over it wait patiently or cancel the order, it really is that simple.

Why do you not believe it, Gibbo always gives accurate info, This is just a ridiculous post. I bet you wont be back here posting appologies or saying you were wrong when you recive your new CPU thsi week, i hope you prove me wrong though
