AMD AM2 Price Drop - Now Active at OcUK!

Yeah just saw.

Shame about the prices. I could have sold my 3500+ for 85 not long ago. Best i think ill get unless total noob buys it is about 60.
 
I'm actually disappointed about these prices.
Was expecting a greater drop :(
Will they drop more on the official date of the 24th?

Yeah exactly. Only thing with amd is that the upgrade path seems to be very good, so you can get a X2 3800, and then 6-12 months time, hopefully amd will release some real processors and then just buy that and pop it into your current rig (and I'm sure amd are working their a** off now that they have been caned by intel this time round).
 
Not really worth the money then tbh, when the bottom of the range conroe is more compariable too the 4600x2 on performance. I would hope the x3800 would drop too perhaps £80-£90 with vat to make it worth it.

You could look at it that way, but for me I upgrade at the most once a year and when I do, I upgrade everything at once.
 
I am really tempted to buy a 3800+ am2 right now, but I think I'll wait till monday see if anything happens.
