AMD BLACK FRIDAY: MASSIVE DISCOUNTS ON VEGA & RX PLUS RX 590 IS HERE & UPTO THREE GAMES FREE !!!

Nice, ordered my sapphire vega 56 on Friday, no word from ocuk on order status over the weekend or Monday so called today and was informed they've over sold on this card. Was told there might be some stock next week but they can't guarantee it. The bloke on the phone said it would be mid dec otherwise. Debating whether to ask for a refund. Thing I'm most annoyed about is that they take the money quickly enough and charge £9.99 for next day delivery.... Wonder if that would be refunded as it clearly won't be next day if and when it eventually arrives .

What I found out about ocUK customer service is that they are top notch. That's why I keep buying from them and not from others. I'm sure the next day delivery fee would be refunded, especially since it was their **** up with the order :) it is unfortunate this happened, but things sometimes happen :(

I noticed the MSI 570 armour 8GB been discounted down at the minute, but not mentioned in the thread. Would people still recommend the Sapphire 570 NITRO+ over it? I know the Sapphire has a higher out the box OC and the difference in price been only £10.

Yes Sapphire quality is far superior to an MSI Armor.

and that is the main reason I bought my Sapphire RX570 from ocUK and not Amazon :)
came today and all installed :D ... don't like haribo's though

Do you have the lastest bios for that mobo? Does vega actaully wpork on non UEFI mobos?

Sorry - me again . Just doing some more digging on my motherboard which is a Gigabyte Z97X-SLI-CF (bought from this very emporium a few years ago :)). The specifications on the Gigabyte website state:
  • BIOS Features
WfM 2.0 support, UEFI BIOS, SMBIOS 2.7 support, DMI 2.7 support, ACPI 5.0 support
Which suggests that this board does have UEFI. If that's the case - does that mean the motherboard will support the Vega 56 I have on pre-order (couldn't bring myself to cancel it!) or are there other factors which will mean it won't work?

I guess the only real way is to try it out... you can always return the card due to distant selling rules. :)

I use the older Gigabyte Z87X-D3H (obviously UEFI), my Vega 56 runs fine with it. It seems to be only the P/H68 chipset Gigabyte motherboards that can experience problems.

Would OCUK accept a return when I’d have had to install the card to see if it works or not and so it will be clear it’s been ‘used’?

Also - to check - will the Vega 56 a good match for my i5 4690 or will it be unbalanced?

Has anyone that preordered the Vega 56 received their codes? I've yet to receive any codes just wondering if I'd get them on delivery of the actual card or before, payment already went through when I ordered so.

I got my email from OcUK about 30 minutes after the email saying the product had been shipped.
