Hold on a minute. If these are really 13.3 beta 2 then these could well be the first beta of the new memory management drivers.

You beat me and Finally to the finishing post with these. Efforts must be doubled!
Well done on beating LT. :D

This is clearly quite an achievement. :D

I hear from unofficial sources that this might be partially the case. Still waiting for official release notes confirming this, though.

Ati seem to be getting there act together now and iam verry impressed with all the recent driver releses.
I may well sell my 690 and go for a 7970

is memory management/latency tweaks game dependant or overall driver dependant ?

ie does ATI have to optimise for every game to reduce this latency ?

just I'm considering going 7970/7950 or 680 and one thing that put me off ATI cards in past was how driver dependant specific for games they were - vs the Nvidia drivers which seemed to be much more consistent ?

too many drivers so little time...do these do anything significant? i dont need an extra frame here and there im ok now?

I think its going to be a gradual improvement that affects all games, particularly directx11 games. Most games are fine, this is just optimization to improve performance and latency, in some titles more than others.

As far as i understand it the Memory Management was written for VLIW5 (cayman 6950 etc), and not GCN, (7970 etc) which is completely different.
So the improvement is because of that, not because there are huge issues already.
