AMD Catalyst 13.3 BETA 2

I think its going to be a gradual improvement that affects all games, particularly directx11 games. Most games are fine, this is just optimization to improve performance and latency, in some titles more than others.

As far as i understand it the Memory Management was written for VLIW5 (cayman 6950 etc), and not GCN, (7970 etc) which is completely different.
So the improvement is because of that, not because there are huge issues already.

excellent - thanks for reply - makes sense

Great spot Proto and downloading now.

Too busy lapping up the glory on the win matt!:p

@Suarez7,

Although we would welcome the addition, unless you are having driver troubles, then I would stick to what you have unless multi monitor gaming is where your at unless you can maybe make a few bob on the way over. :)

@Buckster,

It's game dependent at the moment, but what I can say is this gen, AMD have made massive progress regarding driver quality.

They have added to the driver team(poached some of team greens guys) at the same time consistently getting more and more out of GCN, while Nvidia driver quality isn't quite where it was(going by the honest unbiased Nvidia users here on the forum).

I'm not stressing any is better than the other btw.

It'll only cost you about £10 to DSR a 7950 back if you don't like it, but if you do like the experience, it will save you a packet.

placebo or not, gameplay feels smoother - it almost feels like less input lag, and transitions from high to low fps feel less notivceable. i know how powerful placebo can be so i'm not sure how true these observations are, will have to wait and see.

two immediate negatives: 1. driver requires a voltage bump 2. opengl is broken... opengl applications just won't open.

constant atioglxx.dll errors and inability to run anything opengl, even after reinstalling. which is really odd given the opengl version hasn't changed since the 13.2 betas. can anyone confirm the same happens to them?

running w8 x64

Improves latency performance issues seen in Tomb Raider and Hitman Absolution

I'm going to download hitman tonight to test the latency results for that. Will post my results tomorrow.

Anyone here using a Logitech Products with theses? My G500 LGS keeps crashing.

Working fine here, windows 8 though. ;)

I saw someone post on oc.net with the same issue though so looks like this could be windows 7 related. Make sure you report it shanks.

I have fixed it. In LGS they is an enable enhanced graphics settings, I booted into save mode and run the program and disabled it.
Now it runs fine how do I report the issue?
