AMD CPU conundrum :-? (AMD 3700 San Diego only £55 @ OcUK!)

Just ordered the 4000+ oem to upgrade my 3000+. At that kind of price it was too hard to resist!
I'll have the chip that did 3GHz please guys! :D

Good HSFs but nothing beats the freezer 64/ 7 pros at the moment.

Andy stop getting carried away. The Freezer 64 Pro is damn good but there are superior coolers on the market but yes they do cost a lot more. :)

Too late, its gone! ;) Tested four from this batch and they have all hit 3GHz without breaking a sweat and with minimal voltage increase.

That said, as I'm sure any overclocker will understand, it is impossible to guarantee overclockability with any chips. Only suggesting proven and tested batches gives AN INDICATION of how overclockable a chip MAY be.

We're very confident that most/ all of the batch will hit FX57 speeds (2.8GHz) no problem at all. We've set them at 234FSB X 12 @ 1.45V

Damm !

I ordered the 4000 oem last night, paid £79.95 without VAT, thinking it would not be in this weeks special offers and I did not want to miss out.

Its not in this weeks special offers, but the new price is still far cheaper than last weeks special offer !

Can I send it back and re order a cheaper one.

Only kidding :( my luck was out it seems.

When you next order from OcUK email [email protected] and I will sort you free shipping or some form of discount. :)

The price would normally go back up, but I managed to source these 600 only yesterday so thought I might as well just keep the price nice and low to keep the numbers churning out. :)

Thanks Gibbo, this is why I keep coming back to OcUK, but no worries.

I have been on maximum overspend this last month as it is, new CPU, new GPU, new Mountain Bike, I have had to disguise the truth about each price to get away with it as it is.

Think I will have to limit my spending for a few months, so I might not be back too quick with my next purchase.

Thanks anyhow, its the thought that counts.

Got my 4000 OEM today, didn't mess about with it, left the multiplier at 12 and moved the memory straight to 225 as I know it is capable, 2.7GHz no problem.

I didn't bother with Prime but it faired well in the 3d Mark tests, no problems.

CPU temp 37c, in these conditions that seems pretty good.

I will leave it there for the time being, when I get more time and the temps drop a bit, I will push it further.

Got a few of the 4000's today, all kab1e. I have only managed to test this one, seems fine at 3ghz could probably do more :)

KAB1E 0626FPMW here

12 X 250 1.45v :) which is 3Ghz lol freaking awesome thanks OCUK :)

I tried higher but no go, Tried up to 1.53v but it wasn't stable(failed super pi)

So i think this is good for now.

Not sure but they are excelent chips, mines up to 3.1ghz atm with 1.45v passes occt and anything else i have thrown at it. Really pleased with this cpu sold my old 3700 for £87 so this ended up a very cheap upgrade

hi guys, what multiplier does the 3700 have?

i have an opteron 144 which has only 9x multi, im thinking of getting the 4000+ to chuck in my asrock 939dual mobo and giving the opteron to my bro who wants a cheap upgrade now from a duron 800mhz!

thanks in advance.

Another happy 3GHz 4000+ owner here! :D

Same batch as everyone else and it got to 3GHz very easily (250x12).

I set the voltage to 1.45v in the BIOS but CPU-Z and Asus AIBooster both show it as less, not sure what that's all about.

I have cpu-z 1.35 and it never shows the same votage that is set in the bios. I have it at 1.4 in the bois and cpu-z shows 1.36. All other programs show the same numbers too. Strange.
