Voltage won't be locked for long, I think an overclocked Fury X will edge an overclocked 980ti but there's not going to be a lot in it by the sounds of things.

No, the OC Ti might be faster than a stock Fury...hardly the same
Rgr that setter, just itching to get back gaming, just finished building my new rig and all it needs is the gpu.
So the Ti is faster than the Fury X and cheaper. This doesn't sound good for AMD
The G1 TI is in a league of it's own check out the review on guru3d. It smashes a Titan X into dust. No way a stock fury X will beat that.
I don't think so..as they said overclockers dream i think they will enable voltage control.
What do you mean you don't think so?
You do realise I have one don't you? Right now there is no voltage control as as I have the same press kit as reviewers the surely AMD would enable if if they thought was safe to win more reviews/awards.
All this doesn't sound promising as to the performance of the fury x tbh, at this rate I'll just order two G1's.
I would assume that when the TX is overclocked, it also beats the G1. Hopefully it is just a crap clocker that Gibbo has and crappy drivers are holding it back.
he didn't say that at all lol. Trust me with Gibbo who worked so dam hard to make OcUK the UK leading e-tailer and getting a very good partnership with AMD and AIBs you can bet he words his stuff carefully lol.
Gibbo said:I foresee G1 will be the fastest single GPU card on the market until end of year and this is simply because Maxwell is an overclocking king.
Only cards I can see beating that this year are also Maxwell such as KingPin, HOF etc.
The G1 is an aftermarket PCB built for overclocking. The TX is only available as reference so tends to top out around 1400, where the G1 will go north of 1500 pretty easily.
Fury X launch is 24th at 13:00 so just wait, go in eyes wide open.
In the meantime I shall try to get voltage unlocked and pester AMD for updates, Fury is a brand new technology and the card could have huge amounts more performance to come from both driver updates and overclocking.
It is also surprisingly quick at 4k, infact the higher the resolution the better it performs, which has to be the HBM.

Don't forget Hawaii was voltage locked for the most part at launch, the third party tools need time to add the voltage regulator as it's completely new. Only GPU Tweak from ASUS had this available at launch with their BIOS.
