**AMD Fiji Thread**

Right they can't just depend on devs, if devs work on reducing their buffer footprint its not make a 4GB card viable at high res, its so they can use the space they gain for more varied and higher res textures.

There are ways for the hardware vendor to reduce its own buffer footprint with a supper wide HBM bus and intelligent software programming, i hope they can do it, its another step forward if they can

Yep. If the engineers in this space do well then I understand why AMD started calling her Fury. It's a big ask though. Maybe they can produce some sort of solution that can evolve over time. Nice bit of I.P too.

AMD suggested the right things to me today and the abomination that appears to to be the latest Nvidia Gameworks title (Batman) is giving me the urge to go for the Furyx. If I can find stock tomorrow that is not taking the **** on price gouging, ill be going for it.

It appears that the company they used for the port - Iron Galaxy - is responsible for the poor performance rather than just the Gameworks implementation. There are very few graphics options and a frame rate cap which are often indications of a simplistic port.

AMD's launch timing worked out well, Nvidia have released another system crippling driver and lot's of peeps are now considering moving to AMD.

Which when you think only a few weeks ago they wanted to move from AMD to Nvidia because why? Drivers lol.

Will base my purchase on whoever has best hardware, if AMD's Fury X has Titan X level performance and can really run at under 50C I will def pick one up.

Roll on reviews !

AMD Joe can you just tell us if Fury X beats the Titan X across most games? ;)

While you two reps are here, can you ask someone at AMD whose bright idea it was to stick the stickers on the side of the card where they're visible, and put the nice textured panel on the side where you'll never see it!

Loving the looks of the card, with this exception, but this decision seems weird to me.
