AMD freesync coming soon, no extra costs.... shocker

I don't think even with AA reduced, all games will keep a frame rate at 60fps and don't drop below 60fps.

Yeah sure you get some games. Guess it depends on of you happy to reduce things. Am not, he'll I wouldn't even touch 60hz anymore, reason I can't bring myself to play on me ps4.

Personal choice don't shoot me.

nah its fair enough, the brain does get use to 120hz after a bit
i would love to see pc gaming go 240hz 8k
mobile gaming and power saving is just loser talk! >_<

No idea if I am honest and I don't run a frame counter when gaming (only when benching) and in the last few months of having 4K, I am loving it. Not sure what maxing all games out at 60 fps has to do with enjoying games though.

Well keeping the frame rate at the sweet spot of 60fps = a smoother gaming experience. Having it drop all over place would be a stutter mess.

I know what you mean, this is my main worry moving to 4K. Well that and not having enough power to keep decent framerates.
I don't think 2 290s will quite cut it. I'm tempted by a 3rd, but not sure if it's worth it as the new cards can't be that far away can they?

to be honest if i could get a 2560x1440 90hz ips with freesync i would be all over it like a rash - and i think that's *probably* doable

I hope they add freesync to the oculus rift too - i read they were looking for hardware partners to make them - so there's a chance you might be able to get get different specs

There is no way your getting those sort of FPS in every game completely maxed out.

Can tell you now I am :p least every game I have played.

You acting like 1080p is still a very demanding resolution. Latest GPUs eat it like it's nothing.

You were saying :p

Well if you really want to be pedantic about it, your sentence "You acting like 1080p is still a very demanding resolution. Latest GPUs eat it like it's nothing." was on its own, not even on the same line as you saying "Can tell you now I am least every game I have played."

ok so what your actually saying is you can run games maxed out above 60FPS, providing you don't have to use any setting that might take you below 60FPS.

It is either maxed out or not, you cannot pick and choose.

Witch they do, like matt said you start adding in super sampling things change a lot. 4xssaa is rendering 1080p 4x reason for the massive performance hit. So in theory you not even running 1080p anymore. Lol

Can you run it on a 1080p screen with those settings selected in game with no outside program needed?

If yes then it is a 1080p benchmark.

It's 4x 1080p lol its like running a custom resolution at 1440p and down sample to 1080p
Sure it's going to kill performance, take that out and run without super sampling and at normal 1080p 120fps all day.
