***AMD Freesync owners thread***

At the time he said it it was true, without a revision of Displayport and new controllers it wasnt possible. Obviously variable sync on desktops was possible as nvidia had already done it, he absolutely did not mean that variable sync was impossible on desktops which is the meaning you've chosen to imply.

Oh we are digging up old article and posts now are we, (nice one Orangey by the way :))

just found this lovely little titbit.:p

Been a tiring day for me, trudging around London with near useless on off cell reception, so I have refrained from taking the micky out of AMD for this latest driver foul up.
With orangey's brilliant find of that old article, which most of us will find very funny, well because it is :), I thought I would add to the humour with the little titbit from the these forums from December.

Just remember guys its a bit of fun, and not someone declaring your wife a heathen witch that will be burnt at the stake.

Nice one PCM2. Look forward to your reviews. Bit wary of forum user reviews that are clouded by ownership blindness (myself included) and not knowing what is good and bad in the many elements within a display.

Yes. Good to hear that they are sorting out a card for you to use for review PCM2.

I think while lots of us know about your site's reputation for monitor reviews, it's however probably news to AMD since monitor is not really "their thing".
