"AMD"Gaming evolved DVR beta

Looked into the Dxtory + VCE thing a bit more.
First off, didn't realise Dxtory is a paid for app, probably explains the lack of results on here from people. But if you're serious about this sort of thing I guess ~£20 isn't that bad.

Secondly and what would put me off is that apparently using the VCE codec for Dxtory (which because it's a VFW codec that someone wrote, you can use with VirtualDub, etc.) results in it creating an mp4 video in an AVI wrapper, which is apparently bad from a compatibility point of view. Not sure what format the GE app or ShadowPlay use but I would've guessed it was an mp4 (in an mp4 wrapper).

Did some Crossfire testing with AMD GVR.More performance hit with Crossfire than single cards, but still not too bad.

Breakdown : percentage hit on average values.
Tomb Raider - 21.6%
Thief - 12.4%
Sniper Elite V2 - 12.5%
Hitman Absolution - 9.7%
Batman Arkham Origins -6.9%
Sleeping Dogs - 11.2%
Bioshock Infinite - 18.1%

Good work Gerard. I found i got around a 21% performance penalty on Tomb Raider in crossfire too. Didn't test any other titles. I was a little disappointed that the performance hit was this high if im honest. I've reported it on the Raptr forums, hopefully it can be improved. However looking at your other results the performance hit is much smaller, which is good. Certainly a lot lower than Shadowplay SLI.

Tomb Raider yeah its high but still OK.What about Action have you tested Tomb Raider with that.I have the trial version.I wonder if it still works.I think I will try it out.

I did, check above. I got 16% performance hit with Action, but my minimum fps was lower. It was also stuttery too, however i think that was because Tomb Raider did not play nicely with it. I don't usually have that stutter when using Mirillis.

OK I will not need to test with action.I see the 16% with action in the other thread.Should have read first/clicked the link.My bad.
Bandicam also has AMD recording, you ever try that out.

Never tried it im afraid. I paid for Mirillis so i prefer to use that to get my moneys worth. :p

Do u guys set record at 30fps or 60fps if your uploading to youtube? Will setting at 30 give better quality as we all know youtube can only display 30fps

There is a way that youtube can display 60fps but it is such a chore, I am not messing about like that.

ok this is where I'm at, at the moment anyway. Just a test after messing around last night with GDVR. I just can't seem to get really clear quality like the good youtubers get.

Is there a way to not have the boyz recorded as well in the game footage? In the preferences I have record game sounds enabled, because I want the game sounds obviously, but record microphone and record webcam disabled.

any tips guys?

Mantle support is on its way,it should be very good for Mantle supported games and help on the performance hit when running crossfire with GVR on.

There is quite the difference when Mantle is working correctly in games, even on a good system like mine 3770k 4.5 with R9 290 crossfire.Mantle GVR may just work great for little to no performance hit with crossfire.
