"AMD"Gaming evolved DVR beta

Avg Frames with GVR Off: 122
Avg Frames with GVR On: 115

Calculating the % diff:
One Percent = (122 / 100) = 1.22
Performance with GVR On = (115 / 1.22) = 94.26229508196721

The final difference:
100 - 94.26229508196721 = 5.73770491803279

Unless I haven't woke up yet, it's a 5.7% drop in performance for the Average Frames in the BAO Bench :)

I think he was talking about Thief.

60.2 - 56.1 / 56.1 * 100 = 7.308377896613191% difference

And I make the difference just over 6% for B:AO

So what about tomb raider then? I see you skip that one. Maybe the Thief and nvidia games still need time for GVR beta to tweak them games?

Maybe it's my slow hard drive? It's not 7200 RPM or slower ram? Be nice if other amd users can add there results.

And I knew it be you first to post insults. Was never good at maths.

Don't try and call people out on their figures being wrong then if you don't know what you're talking about yourself. Problem evaded.

I'd love to know what you are saying behind the stars :D

Thanks so Tomb Raider is just under 3%

Funny how that one was skipped that one.

Give over. It wasn't skipped, I didn't see it. You have had a go at me, had a go at Rusty and I was trying to have a sensible discussion on the differences of GVR on your system compared to my system and instead, you have gone off on one.

that's not right either.

Thief: (60.2 - 56.1) / ((60.2 + 56.1)/2) * 100 =7.050%.
B:AO: (122 - 115) / ((122 + 115)/2) * 100 = 5.907%
TR: (54.9 - 53.3) / ((54.9 + 53.3)/2) * 100 = 2.957%

Well, since the other two are double that i guess its not much of an indication of average performance when recording. I guess moe games need to be tested though.

If theres only two benchmark runs, I doubt the results are going to be in any way conclusive anyway. Need to run at least 5 runs to get a more realistic stats model to highlight the differences, especially when the engines vary so differently too.

Yer, you are quite correct and it was along time ago when I was at school. Thanks for pointing it out :)

My way is just a lazy way and is close enough for my liking :D

Yeah just one run with it off and another with it on. I dont have time to sit here doing multi runs.

TBH Bench-marking isn't normally my thing, one reason my system is stock. But seeing no one else is posting results I thought why not.

+1

I went off on one at rusty because he a disrespectful person. Unlike you guys who shown me where I was wrong he just jump right at the moment to insult. And it's not the first either to me and others on this fourm.

Like he Mr perfect lol

I am perfect but this isn't the thread for it. Remain on topic.

My comment was aimed at you because you were so sure that 4 FPS wasn't ~7% that you felt the need to call Greg out on it. It isn't my fault or his that you didn't actually know what you were talking about. The fact remains that if you hadn't have called him out (and to be so rude in the process) then I would not have to interject. Rule of life for you: communicate with people how you would expect to be communicated with yourself.

p.s. my retort wasn't actually an insult but your Tourette's laden response after then with *'s hiding the true meaning was. Not that I'm bothered. I just laugh at you and move on.

OMG I cant even keep up with the workings out even though they are posted in blue and white :)

I think its fair to say which normally is the case, that Amd GVR or DVR ( 2 names for it really? ) is very good.

I used shadowplay to record 4 things so far so i would not say i was that bothered about it. But it is a handy thing to have when you do want to record something you did in game 10 mins ago.

I am shockingly bad at math and my head is seriously hurting :D

As for GVR (DVR), I also think it is very good and a great addition for the recording suites. The performance hit that AMD are getting is miniscule and nothing worth fussing over. ShdowPlay/GVR, they are both free and very easy to use :)
