AMD Mantle Vs. Direct X Battlefield 4 Multiplayer Benchmarks

Yep, just realised when i did the screen info, I was using v-sync, which when turned off seemed to have solved the issue. However, then this happened:

Is that sort of 'jumping' around of the green line supposed to happen.

No it should be a flat line. Try restarting the pc and see if it still occurs. I assume you have frame pacing enabled in CCC? As long as it plays smooth though, it doesn't matter. The render times look good so i wouldn't worry too much.

Gregy bhoys been rustified, I don't want the details on how he implanted the grammar nazi gene.:o

:p

Rusty teached me well :p

All good fun and no chance Triss. I am very happy with my BF4 performance and don't need any more frames :) I have always said that I am a little jelly of Mantle though and being a green bhoy, I do look for faults :D

Anyone know why I have such bad frame variance? It feels like 30 fps when I'm running at 90. Happens with DirectX and Mantle...
Specs:

MSI Z68a-GD65(G3)
Intel 2500K @ 4,8
2x AMD r9 290 4GB reference cards in xfire
16GB DDR3 1600 (4x4GB)
Corsair AX 850

You have the game in full screen mode? You GPU and CPU line are all over the place.

Should be more like this

Yeah it's full screen... 1440P in Ultra. Crossfire works in mantle even when windowed though!
The only game I have this problem in is BF4 - other games work perfectly well. The problem only exists in crossfire mode as well. I really wish it could be fixed because it isn't so playable. It's especially noticeable when doing specific stuff in-game, like when zooming down a sniper scope it becomes particularly choppy even though the framerate remains above 90fps. My VRAM isn't full either...

Something isn't right here, My screenshot is also full ultra @1080p with Crossfire enabled.

Did you remove the older driver with something like DDU Display Driver Uninstaller?

Yeah I used DDU. I can try to reinstall, but this issue only occurs in BF4. It's very weird, and has happened with other drivers. I asked Repi on twitter and he said that frame pacing isn't implemented yet - however your 'frame pacing' looks fine so I have no idea what's going on.
I'll try later to fiddle with my bios settings and stuff to see if I can't fix it...

Do you have a user.cfg in Battlefield 4 folder? Maybe try removing that, also try a repair install of BF4?
