AMD "Never Settle" 12.11 Driver - benchmarks

Can i get a hallelujah praise the lord?

Come to think of it i did an un-install of afterburner around the time mine got fixed as well, maybe, just maybe...

... oh man. spiking again lol. back to atiman+b5 then!

I'm on Beta 3 and I don't have any clock issues (7970 WF), but I am getting some artifacting in BF3. I've had this before with Beta drivers though, and expect that it will be cleared by the time it gets to WHQL.

Are you saying lower the clocks on the GPU or the CPU ?

i think he was referring to gpu - add volts or lower the clocks

WHich vpn did you use for MoHW mate ?

Go to superfreevpn.com and follow the guide, you only have to exit Origin, re-launch Origin after connecting to the vpn, then disconnect from the vpn. As long as you don't restart your pc or Origin you can play it no problems, sp or mp.

Well, I've never really known the correct process for installing new drivers.

Do I use a driver sweeper like atiman? How?

This driver is complete poo for medal of honour, 18% GPU's usage and jerky as hell.

For how many cards? Works well on 2 cards for me but usage can drop to 60's or 70's. For the jerkyness download RadeonPro and create a profile for MoH and change the flip queue size to 1 and disable all triple buffering ****.

Do you know how to install regular applications?

If ATI - express unistall, reboot, delete the folders under program files, install new drivers.

If Nvidia unistall the display driver in add remove programs, reboot, proceed to uninstall all the other nvidia bits and peices, reboot, install new drivers...

Why is any of that confusing?????

I get black polygons and texture flickers from time to time in Witcher 2 on these drivers too... I'm really gutted because the performance boost in this game is insane, about 10 fps;/ Why every single driver after 12.4 makes W2 display these dreaded artifacts? It'd be perfect otherwise:/ I'm sick of it. It' something like this, only less frequent: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YItoboo9_OI It seems that other people suffer from this too, AMD should've done something about the problem.

This driver is seriously mint.

Before 12.11 i could only reach 1125 on the core before i had to increase the voltage. Now i can reach 1150 without touching it. I added one bump just to rule out any crash.

Pre these drivers

1125 - 1.112Volts
1200 - 1.181Volts

12.11

1125 - 1.112Volts
1150 - 1.118Volts

I'm now testing upwards of 1150 core,(using sleeping dogs extreme as this game will spot a dodgy overclock a mile away) im guessing i will be able to reach 1200 core with lower volts than 1.181, 1.150 would be ideal.
I will report back with my findings, not that anyone cares.

TL : DR - Revisit and test your overclock settings, start from scratch and work up, see if you get lower volts as well. :)

1175 core - 1.137 volts stable
1200 core - 1.141 crashed now testing 1.149, think it might need one more bump though.

Thanks for saving me from madness. :p

1200 -1.162 stable down from 1.181 in previous drivers.

I call that a result.

Thats interesting, i have not fully put it to the test but to me it seems with 12.11 i need an extra 5mv to be stable at the same clock an 12.8.

I'm not actually bothered about that at all, but the driver seems very slightly less good for overclocking.

For example i'm no longer stable at 1250, 1240 is now the highest i can get it.

Do you have the idle clock bug?
