Hi, yeah i don't think hes saying its a frame rate issue i can get over 80-90fps and it feels a little juddery, a lot of people on the BT forums were blameing above.net that EA use.

Yes. Although most of the data within the CAP is designed for Crossfire setups, there are some that apply to improving performance on single GPU setups. A properly set up AMD GPU system should always have both drivers and the latest CAP installed.
 
Frame rate is fine, apart from every 30 seconds or so when it feels like rubberbanding going on but it just started to happen about the time I changed drivers at 1125/1575 I'm usually in 80s and 90s

Rubber banding... i used to get that with my old ISP, its cause by jitter and or packet loss.

Frecking horrible, makes the game unplayable, BF3 was the only game to suffer from it, for some strange reason.
 
LtMatt, I'm using Trixx to overclock my Msi 7970, beta 6's. At idle the clocks are 300/150. You say Trixx maxes out the gpu clock, by that do you mean that it doesn't move in intervals to the highest clock speed?

Sounds like everything is working fine so i wouldn't worry. The card will have a few different profiles depending on what you're doing, sitting idle, watching a video or full power when playing a game.
 
By any chance has beta 6 fixed the xbmc text bug? The sp3 solution isnt ideal as it disables hardware acceleration which means if u tab out the video will wind up and down until u go back in!
 
Getting a lot of artefacts appearing in Windows 8's metro interface since installing the beta 6 drivers - anyone else noticed them - mostly happens in the messaging app. Looks like white blocks in the top right section of the screen, same section all the time.

Doesn't seem to be overheating issues as any game I play never has a problem.

Agreed. I tried the first 12.11's without CAP and BF3 was horrible. Put me CAP on and all was cool. The game ran well too.

I was getting these on Windows 7, seemed to just be a dodgy cable, have you tried changing the cable? Apparently before I found this out when I emailed AMD they said that the beta drivers are unpredictable due to the amount of vendors and the changes they make to the cards.

When installing these drivers, do I just install them or do I have to uninstall my 12.10 driver first?

I didn't... I just left them as all I could find was AMD install manager... I just installed and it was fine.

My Heaven score increased by around 20 so.. I'm happy. They work :)
