I guess Charlie wont be at any Nvidia event anytime soon either.

Kyle at Hardocp needs to get his head in order, why complain and whine as he does? Thats a typical Narcissistic ego driven I cant be wrong about what I do attitude which frankly shows how he lack professional curtesy so it was good AMD cut him off. If you have a baby like Kyle then you simply tell them go to your room as there is no candy or xbox today.

I didnt get invited to this or any other AMD event either, I am totally fine with that. I also didnt get invited to any Nvidia, IKEA or any other event as well and I am totally fine with that also. However I am the bigger man here and professional which obviously Kyle cant be and seriously do you think anyone at AMD want to send him any cards whatsoever if you whine and complain as he does? I mean if I would tell my girlfriend bad stuff about she coming over would you think she would go, Gee my boyfriend is so nice to me so now I am going to rock his world tonight?

Or would she say this, hey heard about that Polaris card and it seems a star is bright as me really is worthy one now. I would smile and say, honey your so bright that I am going to get you a vega card.

Thats how the world will rock.

personally i find all these people ridiculous, so many hypocrites that id rather not have to read about
to even mention this they need to be equally critical of the 1080 "reviews" right now, i bet all my gummy bears they are not

the whole way hardware is reviewed needs changing in my opinion >.<

You do realise he was giving nvidia a hard time at the press event asking what made the FE worth the price to which they basically stumbled trying to answer. Personally i think he calls it as he sees it.

One thing is for sure, if AMD don't have a Polaris 980TI then they do not have a mainstream card, what they have is a second tier low end card.
First tier being the bulk of ownership, 970/390, those are the people who want to upgrade to 980TI performance for GTX 970/R9 390 money, if AMD cannot cater for those people they will have to resign themselves to a position and relevance they currently experience for CPU's.

That's what's bothering me, If Polaris is as far behind as it seems I can see Vega only being a 1080 competitor leaving Nvidia with a clear winner once it releases it's big chip (102?). A bit like the original Titan was when it got added to the 680/7970 line up that was current at that time.

why should i care if you trust him lol, and someone you trust today no saying you trust them tomorrow...i guess i have trust issues :)
im bored of having to dig through 20 "reviews" before we get to some truth, for the average consumer the scene is a nightmare
its way too influenced right now

There are two Vega's coming, Nvidia have one bigger chip coming. Vega 10 is likely to be a bit bigger than the 1080 in chip size and either have gddrx5 or be the first cheaper/higher volume HBM part being made. £400 cards sell 10 times as many as £600 cards, so if HBM/interposer/packaging is capable of supporting a higher volume card yet is a bit of an unknown.

The bigger Vega is certainly going to be HBM2 and if Nvidia are going gddr5x with GP102 then they'll struggle to compete as HBM2 will save a lot of power which can then be factored in to die size, how many shaders can be sensibly supplied with bandwidth and how high the clocks can be at a given power level.

Yea, I think this too. Cracks me up that people think big Vega will not be able to beat 1080. I would not be surprised if it beats 1080Ti.

That said, I had a look at the link flopski posted and there seems to be a NDA letter there showing 29 June. Interesting...

Maybe it was an honest question he actually expected Nvidia to have an answer to? Doesnt discount or change his unprofessional hissy fits in the recent history.

Which is simply confirmed by his verbal foot stomp that you linked to.

Thats a fair question.
If you add a 100$ to a card one would expect to answer, why?
it has a expensive cooler for example
or?
Maybe if they said, signed by the ceo with a T-shirt of him and a key chain included?
Adding a cost without being able to justify that cost, well that seems fishy dont we think so?

Anyhow, Polaris leaks hopefully coming soonish.
