just put some voltage up them? :p

I'm guessing that adding voltage will just make them clock worse than other cards with added voltage.

Torn between MSI Gaming 290s and the Asus DirectCU 290s. Also keep coming back to the Tri-X because of Gibbos round-up, but it's Sapphire :(

Trouble with Asus 290s is they're custom PCB, so getting waterblocks will be more awkward, plus they don't like cooler removal.

Where are the HIS IceQ x2 and Powercolor PCS+ cards? Anyone have any idea why they have still not appeared even though every other manufacturer has cards to sell?

So, just got my second 290, but afterburner states the gpu1 temp as 0), fluctuating to 1 or 2C sometimes, and gpu2 temp as ~49C and looks to be behaving normally.

Any ideas, ULPS is already disabled?

my Tri-X 290 is doing 1150 core & 1450 mem on stock volts. How much VDDC can you safely add on air ? I'm using Trixx

Rob

i think i got a bad one tbh early testing is only 1190mhz @ 200mv (1200 gives me artifacts)and if i set 1400 on memory @ stock i get black screen

my test results so far with my sapphire tri x 290

stock 1110/1375mhz.
+50mv, 50% 1135/1515mhz,
+100mv, 50% 1177/1600mhz

looks like my gpu core is a stinker

If you dial back the memory you might get more from the core. Overclocking your memory will probably get you 1-2fps if that. Leave the memory at stock and try to max out the core first. A 512bit bus means you don't need to worry so much about memory clocking unless you're going for benchmark scores. As long as temps are in check you can go with more voltage as well. Trixxx allows up to +200mv. Your cards looks ok to me, you have a silly high memory clock which is probably limiting things a tad.

i still get artifacts 1200/1300 100mv, 50%, same at 1190 and at 1185,80 infact in 3dmark 11 i have to come all the way down to 1160 for it to be stable @ 100mv,50 and 1300 on mem
