Amd Radeon next move?

Anyway, back on topic - Anyone heard anything that AMD have to counter the 980/970? The 285 is very underwhelming and really could do with another card from Team Red or at the least, a big price drop on the 290X/290. Not sure how big their margins are on those cards and how much lower they can go before selling at a loss.

Price drop on 290/290x.
I am not impressed with the 970/980.
I do like the thermal efficiency though with them but performance?
My 290 sits there perfectly fine.

So that's more a tea boy :p doing mods cleaning for them for free etc
Am sure Matt is laughing his head off at some these posts. I know I would if I got given the opportunity to work in something I love doing.

Of course he is, you should see the free stuff he gets, not to mention the fact that he gets paid good money for doing what he loves to do :D

People are thinking of it from the point of view as us just posting on a forum. When a hobby or something fun becomes a job it usually isn't all it's cracked up to be.

I like building PC's, I wouldn't want to work 8 hours a day building them.

once money enters the picture everything changes.

doing something cause you love or enjoy it is totally different to being paid to do it.

Strange that semmi accurate didn't pick up on how bad the 980/970 were going to be.;)

If already coming from 780 or 780ti or Titan then yeah if I was a Nvidia user wanting latest. Its quite a poor release tbh

But
If coming from 600 series then its a stunning time for a Nvidia users to upgrade.

NVidia are a professional outfit so there's no way they'd offer a managerial role (or any role for that matter) to some forum fanboy.

AMD seem to be more interested in community image than offering high quality products and support.

Matt may have been silenced but AMD are probably hoping that lots of new fanboys will step into the vacuum and give up their lives to promote AMD in the hope of being offered a job.

Did AMD run over your dog or something? Every post of yours about them is so vitriolic.

Really? He's not allowed to post in nvidia threads? Or you joking?

My understanding of it was that reps can post in threads about competitors products, but only if they have something positive to say (so basically they can't post :P) I recall the Antec rep getting "told" by Gibbo once about this.

I just double checked the thread title, in case I messed up and it actually said "AMD Matt next move". :D

I think Matt has better things to do than worry about us guys in truth and is probably learning the ropes in his new role and I for one wish him all the success for the future. He is getting paid for promoting AMD on facebook and twitter etc and that can't be a bad thing :)

I think this thread should be closed as it has no value what so ever to PC components let alone GPUs.

I don't think Matt's movements count as anything to do with the above at all.
