AMD Radeon R9 290X with Hawaii GPU pictured, has 512-bit 4GB Memory

I will be testing this myself

It will be multi GPU v multi GPU setups using max settings

And at least I will have the cards in the same place at the same time on identical PCs which is a bit more than some of the review sites can boast.:D

The best bit is I will not have a vested interest in which is better, again unlike some of the review sites.:D

How many have you put down for? 2?
Looking forward to an actual user review though :)

If it was that popular then I'm sure I'd see it on the main benchmark sites when they bench new cards. I understand you got to put your sales spin on it though, but I've not seen anyone on here ever say they use that res.
As it excels at that res does that mean anyone using the unpopular res like 1600p/1400/1080 need not apply?

1600p, 1400p are higher resolution where memory bandwidth is important. Plus a lot of recent reviews I've seen now do seem to test at 5760x1080, seems quite common to me.

Still 4k, 1600P or 5760x1080 needs 2GB or more, ideally 3GB and over with lots of bandwidth for the latest games maxed out at 4k, 1600P or 5760x1080 along with a powerful GPU.

Sales spin, don't interest me one bit, we sell all cards, what you buy is upto you, we sell them all. :)

P.S. Seems in the few minutes it took me to say this several members have posted agreeing with me, 5760x1080 is rather popular, and we know it from the amount of slim bezel monitors we sell. :)

Ah ok. I was unaware eyefinity meant that res. I'd like that res one day but on a single monitor because multi monitor does nothing for me.
I'll give you the benefit of the doubt on the spin ;). Personally I'm interested inthe non ref ones but timing dependent I may bite.

eyefinity been out 3 years numerous sites with forums have people with 3 screen gaming I am one even though I use 5040x1050 due to smaller 120hz screens still more common nowadays.
newer cards for those running even bigger resolutions are needed.

One reason I look forward Mantle due to eyefinity needs more gpu power.

You mean like AnAMDTech? :D

I'd agree, the bezel would distract me too much, but it is a very popular setup.

People buy what they can afford, we sell £200 cards and nearly £1000 ones, on Titan we make less money than we do on some of the £200 ones, as such the customer should just buy what they want. Some cards also give far better value for money than others.

The only time I'd care about aesthetics of a card is if I took my rig to lans and had a full windowed case, even then it's a bit sad, nobody cares.

For me it's the distortion you often get in the side monitors. Which I wish I had known would bother me as much as it does!
