Have we had any hints off OCUK on stock levels?

Wonder if they'll be enough 9070's to go around i.e. more than 10? Edit passey89 beat me to it, thx for the link Legion looks like I might get 1 with some good timing.

That was costly, but the 3080 sold well. Plus having the 3080 from launch meant I was able to mine with it for 20hrs per day through the mining boom so it paid for it's self multiple times which softened the 4090 purchase quite a bit

LOL, in this case, yes...
If the 4090 to 5090 cost £300, then when it's time to sell the 5090, as long as it is worth £300 more than a 4090 it will have been the sensible choice.

And that's before you add in any perceived value from enjoying the extra performance.
Totally here you as followed same path / logic tbf titan maxwell > titan pascal > scalped 3080 >> 4090 > undecided may stick this time

It wasn’t dismantled, but - wrongly - dismissed. AMD needs bums on seats - to sell product - and to do that it needs to be significantly cheaper than Nvidia. Not modestly cheaper but significantly. Otherwise they will continue to be a niche seller.
But you do understand that companies need to make profits right? There is no reason at all for them to make a product and sell it at a loss or at cost.

I can't see any reason for AMD to do anything other than phone it in until their research digs up a meaningful advantage they can run with.

They have no advantage at all and their one selling angle people are begging for is for them to sell cards at a much lower profit margin than Nvidia... to get the Nvidia card prices down...

If Nvidia doesn't want to let go of market share they'll drop prices to keep it and AMD gains nothing because why buy AMD cards if Nvidia is close enough.

The consumers all cheer and AMD says **** this and goes back to focus on selling cpus and non gaming gpus.

Do we really think the Red Devil Limited edition will be £100 extra? Looking at the extras, I thought it would be limited edition free lol.

Edit: @Gibbo will both Red Devil skus be in stock initially or just one or the other? (in a meaningful quantity).

Wondering what the real power draw range will be. Hoping to squeeze a 9070 XT into my ITX build to replace the EVGA 2070 XC.

(and if the XT can be undervolted but still be better performing overall than the 9070.)

Just for clarification, undervolting won’t reduce the power draw, it will use the same power but increases the boost clocks.

AMD drivers have a separate power limit slider that has a negative setting. Usually minus 10% being the lowest setting.

To really reduce TDP used you need to lower max boost clocks as well as setting a negative power limit.

For better or for worse, I'm back in the US from tomorrow through next week so won't be able to order a 9070xt as I won't be around for delivery. Bright side, I'll be right near a MC so may try to get one onsite on Thurs morning. Between the XFX Mag Air or Red Devil.

It's the highest clocked card with 12v connector. I very much doubt it will be £699. More like £799-899.
it's what they did last time though when they got prices they moved the prices to be 10X actual price it was 11,999.99 like all the others yesterday

Very surprising if its £699, id be slightly worried about stock levels in that case. Not complaining but I think these will sell out quick.
