AMD RX 580 and RX 560 leak

i still do not see the added value on these 500series, in fact i see a devalue if the price increase is accurate.
clock barely go up 100mhz base and clock on the reference one, puting it on par with 480 AIB, i really hope there is more room for overclock, they need to reach 1500mhz to 1600mhz for them to justify the price hike, and pull a clean win over the 1060.

Either go 3 ways, they've learnt from Nvidia marketing about stating lower boost levels when actually all the cards can do better speeds even without over clock and the chip is good.

Can over clock like a beast, still pondering the extreme with its 8+6 pin arrangement

Clock speeds as stated but somehow they've changed a lot more under the hood

These cards better overclock loads in order to make this refresh worth it. Otherwise a whole lot of effort for not much.
If they overclock really well wouldn't they instead raise the base and boost clocks to a much higher level to make them much more attractive compared to the 400 series?

Probably one of the pointless releases ever. At least introduce 40 or 44 unit models we know u have them thx to scorpio announcement. Seriously ultra dumb move by Amd and making it 5xx series just lol

So much this. If they just released a full Polaris it'd be a nice jump in performance.

Looks like their stuck giving all the goodies to Microsoft. Just like last year when all the best binned Polaris chips went to Apple. Even the 450 and 460s for Apple had more stream processors.

It's a damn shame. The 40-44CU card could have been 580.

Then they could have the 480 become 570 and so on.

They stated a long while back that the RX480 was the full Polaris chip. If these were simple refinements and very slight clock increases, why not just go RX475, RX485, etc. as they were expected last year.

Perhaps Polaris 20 is the chip they began for the 4k consoles, improved Polaris with Vega goodies, probably not

Even with these being "new" cards, they're quite high. Given where Vega needs to land, there appears to be a gap.

Either Vega is fail, which I doubt / hope or Polaris is better, why such secret?

Nvidia have the option to refine AND sell cards closer to max frequency, instead of gree overclocks. They still gave a lot of room to adjust, without even taking into account fie size, power draw, etc.

Best thing about the 570/580 for me is it sounds like the RRP is going up which will help to maintain the value of my 470/480s which I have plenty of. As I don't clock over 1100 MHz on the core they don't have any other appeal to me currently.

Yep I was all set to grab a 580 but a Powercolor Devil 480 was going for £150 off a mate so really glad I got this now...
