AMD RX 580 and RX 560 leak

Pretty much what i was expecting from the OC versions and higher than just about all RX480's will manage on air when pushed. I expect these cards will hit 1500mhz pretty easy and more if the core is a good one. Pretty much where the Rx480 should have been imo.

Most definitely. I mean, 1500 is just a 4.2% from stock OC.

I've been waiting on reliable news for this refresh, because it does give some idea as to what to expect from Vega. It should be able to run at similar clock speeds.

It depends on if it runs at its rated speed.

My Asus 480 advertised at 1325mhz often ran closer to 1100.

My XFX 480 advertised at 1288mhz actually runs at that all the time.

I'd wait until tests and frankly ignore the advertised clocks.

Your Asus 480 sounds like an RMA case to me and more of an exception than the rule...

Gtx 980 is so 90s lol Seriously Amd must step up their game in gpu department. Comparing new products to eoled gpus, renaming old gpus as new ones starts to get pathetic at some point ...

Nah you're missing the point. This is a mid-range card, so we're talking people upgrading form something like a 960.

To put it in today's terms: the 480 is the same as the 1060 on Nvidia side. So the 580 should be compared to the refreshed 1060...

RX570 a decent upgrade from a GTX680? 1080p 144hz

A 680 should be very similar to a 770 or 960. So all these should perform at like 60% of a 480? I guess it's a decent upgrade.

Obviously I'm assuming here that the 570 will perform roughly like a 480, but you'll find out fore sure after the release next week.

Then again there'll be arange of options from AIBs which means it also depends on WHICH exact 570 model...

You might be better off grabbing a 480 on the cheap right now. Some pretty good deals out there... I doubt a 570 will beat a 480 by any significant margin.

The only problem with those high OCs is that they will be memory bandwidth limited due to the 8 Gbps VRAM, even at 9 Gbps they may still be held back at 1500+ MHz. If GDDR5X was cheaper, it would be a great addition to these cards probably boosting them to performing solidly in between the 1060 and 1070.

You gotta tinker with the settings on some of them. I have the reference blower cooler one and needs some added power usage and increased fan speed but it can run solid at 1300mhz. At stock it throttles right down to under 1000 sometimes.
I'm going to hazard a guess the 580s will be the same but if they can be tweaked to run 1500mhz rock solid or even more then great. They should pull a FuryX's pants down like that.

Depends on what you're trying to do with them. At 1080p, which I'm assuming the vast majority will be using with these cards, there shouldn't be any memory bandwidth issues. Even at 1440p, I cant imagine it would hold things back that much. For 4k or something, sure. But these aren't really 4k cards in the first place.

Certainly doesn't seem to hurt the GTX1070 too much, which is even more powerful by a fair margin.

the 480 scales a lot better when raising the resolution to 1440p and 4k than GTX 1060 and 1070, beside the 1070 have the same memory frequency and amount, while having more power, if what you say is true, the 1070 should be hurt a lot more than the 580.
