AMD RX 6000 Series UK Pricing ?

I can't believe that thread "10GB vram enough for the 3080? Discuss.." is almost at 50 pages and they are still arguing about it instead of using their cards to game . Sat there watching cached memory in most cases . I need to show them some error messages that come up when a game really runs out of memory for use and how some will not start up at all unless you reduce resolution or settings.

They have some valid points, just not 50 pages worth of content. The thing is now though with lots of 3070/80 owners on this forum, they can actually test these games and relay back real figures... so just waiting for that proof then its put to bed for now.

Yes BBC micro was expensive, my mate had one though, played Elite on it, such a great game.
A mate also had the ZX81, never tried it though.

All you peasants....I went from a BBC B+ To a BBC Master :p

Right. I had to get up in the morning at ten o'clock at night half an hour before I went to bed, drink a cup of sulfuric acid, work twenty-nine hours a day down mill, and pay mill owner for permission to come to work, and when we got home, our Dad and our mother would kill us and dance about on our graves singing Hallelujah.

I had v64 from sapphire it's not far off 5700xt performance in many titles. Great card specially when u can buy it cheap. Got mine for 320€ brand new in late 2018
I had a EKWB block on my Vega 64, found a new home in the Czech Republic in the end. The memory bandwidth is really showing on the whole stack of cards from both teams in Godfall. Rtx 3080 760GB/s vs Rtx 3090 936GB/s. The 5600xt 288GB/s vs Vega 64 484GB/s is really showing a benefit. Just a shame it's not always the case in many games.
To go from a Vega 64 to 6800xt you'd be around the same power draw for 2-3 times the performance, that can't be bad! And moving away from a compute card very much like ampere currently to a pure gaming focused architecture.

When you absolutely definitely don't want a repeat of the nVidia capacitor issue:

That's due to AMD reference cards not been crap lol. The AMD PCB layouts are always good just the coolers have let the side down.
Looks like the blower fan is thing of the past, though it does have it's advantage of removing the GPU heat out of the rear and not into the whole case.

Swapping your VII out for a 6800xt Matt?
Yup, though might end up with a 6900 XT.

Will probably be whatever i can get my hands on initially, and then will sell the other if and when my work freebie comes in. :)

You?

Actually really happy with the Radeon VII, been using it solidly for the past few months and performs very well at 5120x1440.

Ye, its a shame it wasn't benched in Godfall as Vega 64 does very well. The game seems to love memory bandwidth as the 3090 has a big lead over the 3080.
As you know the VII has been fetching all its cost back used so mine went in September. My brother is VII less too, he had a guy drive from Kent to Yorkshire to collect his and paid £670 cash with this EKWB block I fitted!
Several Youtube channels have been sent the EKWB AMD CPU and GPU kits so some nice content incoming for sure!

13:46 in for Godfall numbers on the VII.
