***** AMD RX 7900 SERIES AVAILABLE & IN STOCK TODAY FROM 2PM ****(BACK ORDER UPDATES WITHIN THIS THREAD)*

Hi All.
Generally don't post on forums but had to write to say Thanks Gibbo and OCUK staff.
Ordered a Sapphire 7900xtx MBA on first day and order was confirmed. But no delivery next day as expected. Looked at the forums (this thread) and saw the explanation which clarified everything. It seems that you guys have done a fantastic job sourcing the oversold cards despite a computer ordering glitch and I received my card 2 days ago. It would have been easy to send an email to say "tough luck mate and cancel the order" but I can still see you are still trying to sort out the unfortunate ones who still haven't received their cards (with a possible free upgrade!). That is good after sale service.
Thanks Guys!

Thank you for the kind words and Merry Christmas. :)

Will avoid that then however, elsewhere it's 2yr?

I asked Powercolor directly, they told me it is 1yr, others are making an error by displaying 2 years. I've asked them to check with Far East to be sure but documents to hand state 1yr warranty on MBA boards with Powercolor as advertised correctly on OcUK.

Very surprised PowerColor went that route, oh well... I'll patiently wait for a Nitro+.

Yes I was shocked, surprised and informed them what a stupid move, I think it is because AMD only give 1yr warranty, so they are essentially just passing that on, whereas other AIB's have stuck with their usual warranty term.

AMD is two year with MBA bought from AMD shop. It’s the same as 6000 MBA.

Only communicating what Powercolor are telling me, if they want to state 1yr, that is their choice, I am not going to do something different to what they state just because I don't agree with it and I've told them I am not happy about it at all.

Nice to see to price drop as per reported on videocardz today, on 7900 XT MBA.

There is no price drop, USD cost is unchanged I’ve just reduced to near cost due to 1yr warranty.

I see no movement in USD price and until that happens any change price wise in GBP, Euro is just currency or margin reduce by reseller.

I’ve got the option to pre order and pay for the Sapphire 7900xtx. That was after I attempted to buy one on release date so it’s in my basket. Is that some sort of glitch as I see they are not available to preorder on the site.

Thanks.

There is no Sapphire XTX MBA any more and won’t be any cards for new orders.

XTX is custom cards only, no idea how you can order one but don’t as you won’t get it.

I'm getting really tempted to buy a 7900 (probably XT) for my 2nd system (got a new system ordered with a 4090).
I know I shouldn't bother, it's too much money. Plus I've had issues with my FuryX cards and with my Vega 64 LC so I'm now nervous I'd have issues with one of these cards too.

But there's that bit of me that still wants one...

Stupid FOMO...

Pulse XT now in stock! :D

I'll keep my wallet clamped till then...

I said before Christmas, February is always worse month of the year, as such if any planned price drops are coming they will come then, also if any AIB's have got squeaky bottoms and want to flush some stock it always happens February - April time, especially as April for many companies is year end for the ones who don't do year end on December 31st which we are now past, but that is why we got the good deal on KFA2 4090 as they wanted a load shifting before end of year.

I'd also hope by February all XTX were in stock readily available which will drive pricing down, XT won't get much cheaper though those are already aggressively priced, I will keep pushing for $799 on them but only AMD can action that request as they'd need to pay me $100 for everyone I sell to make that happen and currently they give me zero.

Another shelf filler then.

Time will tell on that one. I think cards priced closer to £800-850 will move very well, bear in mind 3080 10G still sells like crazy and is like £700-800, the 4070Ti is faster and has 2G more for around £100ish more, so will probably sell well.

As someone who bought a 3080 off you over 2 years ago for £649 what do I buy this time for a similar amount that's actually faster?

I'd advise you keep your 3080, as they are superb buys at £649 they are typical 700-800 now. Best to make it last another six months as prices should soften in coming months one would think.

Hey Gibbo!

Might've missed it, but any idea on when preorders would open again for MBAs or Sapphire 7900 XTX Pulse? (once back orders are cleared, maybe?)

Ended up using one Nitro and filed a return request for another one, unfortunately it's about 5 mm too thick for the other PC :(

In about week or two.

maybe if the performace was there for that price but its really not, paying 50% more for the class of card you are getting compared to last gen

Well in fairness the product should beat a 3080 12G comfortably and maybe even a 3080Ti which it’s cheaper than so I guess NVIDIA are pricing products more akin to their performance rather than class.

I agree prices need to come down but time will tell.
