It is already my replacement card, I RMAed for high hot spot temp, hitting the 110C range.Braver person than me, Doesn't that mean you lose warranty? Or did the manufacturer agree to let you take the card apart?
Sod the warranty… I carefully removed the silly warranty sticker with a piece of paper (undamaged) and I put it back on after I was satisfied with the results.
For the 6000 series they used a graphite thermal pad, which is very finicky when it comes to GPU die and cooler contact.
I had a similar story with my old 3080 FE, the replacement card still had high memory temps. I ended up replacing the thermal pads and to bring down the memory temps. So even Nvidia have some cards with temp issues.
These manufacturers need to find better ways for testing temps.
