***** AMD RX 7900 SERIES AVAILABLE & IN STOCK TODAY FROM 2PM ****(BACK ORDER UPDATES WITHIN THIS THREAD)*

I was just curious, if Gibbo had to choose one to Launch again, which would he choose, not necessarily in terms of profit, but overall smoothness, stock, communications etc

Both launches went very well, everything sold out very fast and some lines over sold a little.

In short on the 7900 XTX the dev guys now know exactly what the issue was as I removed the buy buttons from the website before we sold out, unfortunately if a customer had added the card to their basket the website still allowed them to process the order even if it was the following day.

As such an update has been actioned now that when I request disable ordering, the order button is removed, the product will also be blocked at check out as well.

UPDATE:

The 50pc Powercolor 7900 XTX MBA are at customs in Netherlands, ETA to us is next Wednesday - THIS WILL CLEAR ALL BACK ORDERS! Deliveries will be just before or after Christmas depending on how DPD courier network copes.

The 25pc Sapphire 7900 XTX MBA are also due with us next week sometime, coming from Far East, again those first 25 will be delivered to customers just before or just after Christmas.

CUSTOM 7900 XTX cards - Still scheduled for end of January and into February deliveries, that is stuff like TUF, Pulse, Nitro, Devil etc. If you don't wish to wait, REQUEST A REFUND!

Sapphire are still working on a solution with AMD for the remainder of their back orders and we should get an update middle of next week.

NO MORE QUEUE POSITION REQUEST PLEASE!

Have a good weekend. :)

At 14:21 it was still showing In-Stock and green on the website. I think that's what can cause frustration.

You then wonder was it a legit error , or cash grab.

What's the stock allocation process? Once paid then allocate? Or do you hold temporary while at checkout etc.

Is the web interface live with your back office systems?

Just curious...

I removed the "in stock & order button" before physical stock ran out, I gave myself around 100 cards as buffer. Within two minutes the website had updated, order buttons removed and product changed to "coming soon", this was all done by around 14:15-14:20, now of course due to how different browsers and web cache work in such a high flow order situation not everyones browser may update as quickly, hence some people seeing in stock even though it has gone. By the time the website had updated and removed in stock and order buttons I still had 60ish cards in reserve. CTRL + F5 will do a hard refresh.

However typically this is not so much an issue, the issue was anyone who had a card in basket, the website still allowed them to check out and buy it even though the "add to order button" was removed and thus me telling our back end systems not to sell any more.
The problem is all the people who had one in their basket were still able to check out and buy one and as such that buffer I gave myself was quickly eaten up and more so.

The devs have informed me they now know the issue and it will be resolved.

Allocation process is when paid, a check out reserve option is been looked into as would work better, but as mentioned above they have located the issue and as such over selling should be possible to stop now.

Our interface to the webshop is not live, it goes via a gateway and can take upto a minute to update.
We can over ride and update directly in the backend should the website crash like it did on the 3080 launch, unfortunately on 3080 launch we were on our old platform and there was no ability to over ride and hence why by the time we got our systems up and running we have pre-sold over 10,000 units.

The website has a few issues at 4090 launch but the direct access to backend allowed us to pull them, the issue there is it is extremely manual and time consuming process, not only that we had like 30 different 4090 SKU's to manually pull down, in the end the over sell was not that large and most customers had their order fulfilled in a week or two.

4080 was not an issue.

This launch we believed all was absolutely fine, website was staying alive without issue, I pulled the order buttons and they were removed and as far as I was concerned I had 100 cards in reserve.
But the orders kept coming and coming, due to the fact that once it was in the basket, it could be ordered. A solution to prevent this is now available to us.

End of the day, its a glitch, mess up, it is how we deal with it and how we look to resolve it for future launches.
We cannot please everyone but I feel we have dealt with this swiftly and kept customers extremely well informed, I was posting the same day here, every customer had an email with 24hrs with options and we have now secured additional stock for next week and will secure more stock to clear remainder of orders in new year, with any luck everyone will get a card within 30 days of ordering.

Holy ****!

That's crazy! So you had 10,000 orders that day?
How long did that take to clear?

Please don't tell me you gave out 10,000 queue positions back then..

Go find the thread, though things are not perfect now, they have vastly moved on.
Nope the Devs wrote some queue software which emailed customers once a week.

Any idea when you'll be getting the Sapphire 7900xtx in again or any other? I rang up today for an RMA as even in default my card is hitting 110 degree hotspot and max 2900rpm fan speed.
Was told refund was my only option as no eta on replacements.

Will be a good month before we take more orders I suspect.

I’m not 100% sure but is hotspot not VRM temp? In which case they are designed to operate upto 120-130c?

Was the card crashing or artifscting and what was GPU temp ?

Maybe this will soften the blow for people who missed out?
He paid with amazon lol.
"ME Buying A RX 7900 XTX Was A Nightmare!"

Commented on his video.
He has secured a Red Devil XT card but as he lives in Ireland he ordered to late on Friday and missed DHL collection cut off, those guys probably don't work weekends, so it won't ship until Monday.
We are also getting more XTX MBA in stock for the over sold orders. :)

Hi mate,
Yeah in benchmarks or games the gpu temps start OK, both around the same temp 30ish and fan at 0.

The temp continues to rise along with the fan speed (normal)
Within a min the gpu temp levels out at 60/70 degrees ish.

The hotspot and fan speed continues to climb until it hits 110degrees, and fan speed hits max around 2900rpm. (I'm getting like a 40 degree difference in gpu and hotspot temp)

the frame rate becomes erratic once the gpu fans max / hotspot maxes
In warzone 2.0 The 180/190 fps max, drops by about 30fps or so and dances around 150/160fps.. With the fans blasting full.
I've undervolted to 1080 (-0.70 mv) set the max clock speed from the default 3050 down to 2600mhz, it takes a bit longer to reach max fan speed and 110 degrees but still happens.

No crashes/artifacts.. only when I'm undervolting to bring the temos down.. Just throttling the framerate /clockspeeds.

Still eventually does the same 110 hotspot.

Case is a meshify C, 3 fans at the front blowing in, 360mm AIO taking heat out the top and fan at the back, does the same with case open.
I've reinstalled windows fresh just to make sure it's not a conflict driver, but no difference. Re inserted it many times, looked around it and cannot see any problems.

Had a look around and doesn't seem to be the norm with other reference models.

Not going to attempt to repaste it as OcUK will void the warranty?

Yeah sounds like its not got the cooler sat properly, totally not your problem so just return it for a refund.

As someone who works in Logistics and use a similar setup to you. DPD for UK wide deliveries and we use Transglobal for our oversees, a lot of people don't understand how overseas shipments work, how long they take etc. Cut off time is normally either 11am or 12am to book overseas shipments and depending on the carrier even then you may not.

It also sounds like your system works similar to ours, we set something to dispatch on our systems which sends out an email to say it's shipped, but you don't set it to shipped until you actually ship it.

I feel the pain you are going through when you see videos like this of people that just don't understand (through no fault of their own of course) but there's a lot more complexity than people expect.

Thank you for your understanding.

Did I see right, all back orders for powercolor cards should be furfilled next week, I was 61,last time I checked. Surprised 11 ppl cancelled but I suppose they must've. Thanks for the good news. Any chance I could change my shipping address? I'm not currently at there and won't be for a little while,

Thanks

You will need to speak to CS and also prove it is you, as due to order numbers been posted on forums I informed CS to not allow any address changes for security reasons.

UPDATE

Sapphire XTX MBA = 25pc have arrived today, we shall endeavour to ship these today / tomorrow but our warehouse and DPD are massively behind at present due to huge surge in orders. These 25 cards are been prioritised but once in the hands of DPD we have no more say in it. We are working with Sapphire to get more and right now they are unsure if they can ship more MBA, if they cannot then we shall look at doing a FREE upgrade to the Pulse XTX edition, once Sapphire start shipping us stock!!!!

Sapphire XTX Nitro = 100 units are shipping tomorrow, due with us end of the week, this is enough to clear all back orders and expect to have your card between Christmas and New Year!

Asus TUF XTX OC = 5 units are due tomorrow with us, we will ship these out and then depending on DPD the first lucky five might get them before Christmas!

Powercolor XTX MBA = The 50 units have departed from Netherlands today and are due with us Wednesday, again these will then be despatched and be with DPD so any pre-XMAS deliver will be purely down to how DPD cope with getting orders out.

Powercolor Devil XTX = 20 units are schedule to ship to us on 28th December, so the first 20 customers can expect these first week of January, which will then only leave around 10 pre-orders.

PLEASE NO MORE REQUEST FOR QUEUE UNLESS IT IS VIA THE FORUMS, DON'T CALL OR WEBNOTE CS FOR QUEUE POSITION !!!

ANYONE WISHING A REFUND SEND A WEBNOTE TO CS WITH YOUR ORDER NUMBER REQUESTING A REFUND!!

Is there going to be any Nitro left for sale from that 100 Gibbo?

Yes there is only like 13 pre-orders.

Once I confirm Sapphire have shipped the 100 I shall put the cards up for pre-order, that way they should not instantly sell out and I shall put a heads up here before I do so, expect me to do this Tomorrow or Wednesday sometime.

I would snag one of those but not heard anything about my RMA yet. I'm guessing every part of OcUK is swamped by AMD stuff at the minute.

Right now the company is severe swamped, it is peak season and smack right bang between Black Friday and Christmas with the biggest amount of orders / revenue we have ever experience, factor in GPU launch, DPD shipping issues, Royal Mail strikes and severe weather, yeah it is fair to say the entire company is bonkers busy, even with a 24/7, 7 days a week warehouse shift in operation the orders are still coming faster than we can pack them. Not a bad situation to be in but we will for sure be glad when we move into the new premises next year as this one is bursting at the seems.

As we put our order cut off as today as per DPD's recommendation we are expecting sales to slow down tomorrow and hopefully we shall begin catching up.

Could those that have bought the MBA sapphire cards pay the difference to upgrade to the Nitro? Not sure waht that price is though

The Nitro is £1299, so cost to upgrade would be £250 right now.

The Pulse cost is unknown and though we expect them to cost more OcUK is planning to soak that up and offer the upgrade to the Pulse at no additional cost.

My suggestion would be buy one if your happy with price and just request a refund on your RMA. Alternatively wait and your card will be replaced in coming days/weeks.
