AMD RYZEN 5000 SERIES 5950X, 5900X, 5800X & 5600X NOW ONLINE AT OcUK!!

My sob story is that on launch day I submitted an order for a 5600X from another retailer and got the notification from my bank that the money had been taken. It wasn't until the next morning when I hadn't received an order confirmation that I realised that they had taken the money without any associated order! Frustrating as I could have pre-ordered from OC way sooner and been further up the queue, instead I'm 601.

For now my new 3070 sits bottlenecked in my 2011-era i5 2500K build :D

Does anyone know if these bundle deals that you can see on other places come with the retail boxes etc ?

I don't think so. Sometimes they do if the company uses retail stock. They should not do this though as it is not usual practice. They should receive lots of CPU's in a big tray and pick it from there. You most likely won't get any packaging at all and the CPU will either ship in the motherboard or they will pack the individual CPU in their own box, however they may do that.

That’s just not ok...all retailers should only take £1 for example and everything else on pending during a pre-order. This way if you change your mind don’t have to wait 5 to 7 days to be reimbursed. If they do that I’m pretty sure AMD and all the retailers will personally fly the products straight to the warehouse just to get the orders completed and money in their pockets. Right now we sit like donuts while they count our money.

Hi @Gibbo,
Please can we get an update today on incoming stock? I was under the impression that 125 5600X items were due yet moved up the queue by less than 25 places. I'm sure everyone else on here would also like an update.
You stated orders placed by 5pm on launch day for most SKUs should be shipped this month, is that still the case?
Cheers

He gave an update last week (think its on Page 35) - Heads up Gibbo - AMD delivery dates continue to slip on 5000 series from their latest backorder report- here is latest expected to ship in nov - 300 x 5900x PIB now with sdd date of 24/11, 60 x 5950x pib with SDD date of 20/11 , 108 x 5600x mpk with sdd date of 26/11 . sorry its a mssive pain these keep slipping

There is also the 5800X in that date range as well even though he didnt update us on that... So yeah end of month/early Dec at the earliest I would guess

He actually said he was expecting a delivery from non-official supplier end of last week/early this week. I think this is a separate order to one you quoted. Guess they haven't got that yet.

Gibbo also stated last week ....
5950X - 35pc 5950X due from none official and as such they cost us a lot more, but those who pre-ordered prices are always honoured, these are due end of week / next week.
Im number 10 in the queue (was 8!). Waiting for news on this, anyone else in a low queue position expecting info on this also?

This is why I asked for an update. The details are across multiple comments and it would be helpful if @Gibbo has time for a concise update with all the info in.

He’s probably catching up with anything going on on their end over the weekend. God knows when I come back from a weekend I don’t get any scheduling done the Monday morning. It’s replying to the several dozen emails I got through the weekend from staff. Besides, there might not be any news to update us with yet.

only just joined the back of the queue for the 5900X

not had the queue position update, but if it is anything like the 3000 series, I wont get that until something ships out

hoping it is before christmas, only so I dont have to change the delivery address for a 2 week period before switching back to office

... also need a new motherboard anyway, current is not compatible, holding out for the release of the Crosshair VIII Dark Hero

Here's hoping on a shipment soon for the 5600x, because I'm holding of getting an X570 motherboard and a 4th-gen M.2 Drive until I have it in hand.
Thankfully I already have the optimised Ryzen Ram "Corsair Vengeance RGB PRO"
