A 5800X doesn't match consoles, it's considerably more powerful. A 5600X is a better value gaming system.

I don't think it will be too long until reviews are released as shops seem to be getting the cpus in stock.

Cores still make a difference as even slower core CPUs like the ryzen 2600 are now beating faster cores from CPUs like the i5 6600K in games that make use of those cores etc.

got a 5950x in my wishlist, and its gone from £749.99 to £799.99 which is a bit gutting. Might be wishful thinking but im hoping i there isnt too many people in the market for that CPU and any preorder queue I'm in will be small

Kinda hoping they are adjusting the RRP accordingly and not bumping the price just for profit margins. we know they could have added £150-200 on the 3080's and preorders would have still be sky high.
I know hope can be a great flaw

Someone got a 5600x shipped to them accidentally from a European store , it was posted on twitter the other day.

Single thread in cinebench is really strong.. They hyped it pretty well
